Key responsibilities for this role include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Maintains standards of food and beverage quality and guest service quality as established by system operations
  • Reviews menu design and concepts with Head Chef and General Manager
  • Responsible for the smooth running of the Bar & Restaurant in line with company standards of procedures & predetermined budgets.
  • Schedules and monitor employees under direct supervision at proper staffing levels; Inspects daily pre and post-shift work
  • Maintains Employee Relations & Performance Management of the Bar & Restaurant Team.
  • Conducts pre-shift meetings to inform staff of daily events; reviews daily specials.
  • Supervise the activities of all Bar & Restaurant team to ensure all team members are aware of their responsibilities and are performing all duties to a consistently high standard.
  • Assist in the development of short-term financial and operational plans for the restaurant
  • Monitors performance of the restaurant through analysis of guest feedback and financial reports; initiates corrective action.
  • Responds quickly to customer requests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Creates and maintains a monthly inventory
  • Promotes programs to increase sales
  • Ensures compliance regarding: Fire, health & safety, food hygiene, alcohol awareness standard, Customer Care & Security.




The Person:

  • A Business, Hospitality or Hotel Management degree (minimum 2:2) from a reputable institution
  • A professional qualification will be an added advantage (HSE, Fire Safety & Risk Management, customer care etc)
  • At least 4 years overall professional experience; ideally 3+ years of broad restaurant and bar management experience
