SOLUTIONS IN INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING CONSULTS (SIEC) is a registered company with corporate affairs commission which is an embodiment of several arms with a split for execution of different aspects of engineering ranging from capacity development, system instrumentation and control, contracts, out-sourcing, equipment leasing and servicing of Oil & Gas companies.
As part of its measure to enlighten and educate the teaming undergraduates and graduates of tertiary institution as well as the working professionals, an arm of the company engaged in training of requisite engineering design software packages has developed a training schedule for engineering design packages virtually for all aspects of engineering. This is in-line with federal government of Nigeria local content initiative to develop and nurture engineers with the use of these soft wares as a measure to fill the gap for the growing demand in that sector of Oil and Gas.

Aspen HYSYS: A process modeling software that is capable of controlling /monitoring plant operations especially as it relates to PVT data of the plant as well as material and energy balance calculation done in a split of seconds. The data needed for the construction of a plant is generated using HYSYS where line sizing, contractual specifications are reached.

PLANT DESIGN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (PDMS)
PDMS (Plant Design management System) is AVEVA software developed to model plant in terms of structures, generating bill of material/quantity. PDMS is structured to model a plant in 3D with standard catalogues, coordinates, pipe codes and standards.
PDMS – A proven design software solution for multi-site collaborative engineering projects in the oil and gas as well as ship building Industries.
It enables plant design personnel of various disciplines work actively together to eliminate structural interference, check safety and operational issues during the design phase. These ensure easy maintenance of facilities whilst taking cognizance of any human factors. This course is designed to provide an understanding of PDMS for 3D Modeling and its application in Oil and Gas facilities.

Equipment Design (Heat xchanger, Pumps, Compressors etc.)
Piping Design with ASME Codes
Structural Steel work (Column, Beam, Panels…)
ASL Access stairs and ladders
Cable Trays for electrical & Instrumentation
The training will be based on ASME B31.3 & B31.3 process and piping codes respectively
At the end of the training, a project will be carried out that involves the modeling of an LPG plant with standard specification of equipment.

AutoCAD
AutoCAD is a drafting tool which is the basic engineering tool as regards initial design phase, all sketched work is developed with AutoCAD and presented for parameter simulation as well as structural design in 3D.
