It was rili disappointing. I also wrote d exam UI venue in ibadan. phillips consulting firm needs to kick up their heels cos they showed their mediocrity to d highest level yday... i guess mediocrity is in d incipient disease that is killing us rapidly in nigeria... so sad:(
They would ave allow dragnet to conduct this!
They would ave give it to dragnet to conduct.
men, this also happened in fgc centre in ph.people under the sun,not knowing where to go,nnpc and philips consult guys totally comfused.this was a serious shame.by the time we started the test we were completely spent.
That was crazy
the same thing happened in benin and was even worse because the test started at 5.45pm........the rate of armed robbery too in the state did not help those whose exams ended late.
NNPC for that matter, Shell, BP, etc could never arrange such! Nigerian awake, where are we heading to? Thanks be to God, I didn't waste my pounds to travel for the test.
D1. UK
It was poor indeed, apart from the delay, the organisers seem not to have realised that lawyers were invited for the test cos me I did not see anything that looked like Law oh.this Philip Con...na wa oh!
@Petunia from what I understand, the accreditation was the Job of NNPC staffs while Philips Consulting was there to conduct the test and not the accreditation. So before you lay the blame on the door step of Philips consulting, maybe you should actually do your home work first. They will only conduct the test as soon as the green light was given by the accreditation panel or whatever it was. The blame is NNPC'S and theirs alone.
I am of the strong opinion that anything organised by govt should be the best. We had delay for hours at UNILAG Business Admin centre. The test began by 4:30pm. Painfully, neither the NNPC officials nor the Philip consult staff could address us to apologise for starting behind schedule. This ugly arrangement should not be expected from a big corporation like NNPC. It is very unfortunate it happened.
It is really disheartening and poor! :(Not to think of eligible persons with all requirements (2.1, exp etc) that were not called at all for the test. No replies, No apologies...just like that? From a Government establishment, which was supposed to be looked up to for succor? It's below expectation.I wonder what Naija is turning into.:o
:rolleyes:Well for me my center at kaduna wasn't that out of control. Though we commenced d test at about 3:30pm and finished at exactly 5:00pm In my opinion the test center for the NNPC recruitment in Kaduna was fair enough;). I think our major concren should be that senators & top government officials should not hijack the the process, amen
he he he he he he he ha ha ha ha ah ah ha
i couldnt help but to laff out loud at the ordeals these my fellow interviewees went thru , just to sit for a nnpc test, nnpc for that matter.
i am more than disappointed in this our country. God help us !!!
Imagine the crowd at Navy secondary school Portharcout centre. This is to tell you the extent to which unemployment has gotten to in Nigeria. There were some applicant who sat under canopy and open space due to space constraint. The text started at about 4:50pm and in less than 1:30minutes we were ask to stop.No matter the level of umemployment in the country i would also advice various outsourcing bodies to ensure proper modalities are put in place to ensure orderliness in such situations.
I never really expected anything better considering the number of people that I imagined would turn up for the test. One thing I know recruitment firms don't know how to do in Nigeria is managing crowd; and the UI experience just confirmed this!
i guess u must be smhow allied to phillips consulting firm dats why u are dis passionate. howeva, i wrote d exam and i know wot i knw; d accreditation in my centre was done by dem; i didnt come here to castigate anyone just reportin wot i experienced! i doubt u took d exam cos if u did, u will undastand my statement more. cheers
Apart from the organizers of the test, what about the attitude of many of the candidates who exhibited a profound lack of orderliness and patience. Is it that hard for us Nigerians to peacefully form a queue? Can we compare the behaviour of such disorderly candidates who were not facing any disaster to, say the Japanese, who have exhibited calm even when under pressure? Queues move faster when those queueing behave themselves. We ought to take responsibility for our actions instead of blaming others.
Well Airforce base centre in Ikeja was well organised, I guess the presence of the airforce officers and the fact that we were in their premises brought out the best characters in nigerian candidates for the nnpc test considering the way we (nigerian graduates) disorganise every recruitment exercise that involves large number of applicants, I guess if military personel were in place in most centres, we would have recorded a more orderly exercise....see you all at the top, God knows best
