Please did anyone who sat 4 d transocean test reciv a text from them requesting for CV? I was sent and a little bit confused. Thanks

Lucky you if you really were sent a text but to know if its really from them check the number cos it has to be customized and also the email for forwarding the CV

A friend of mine also got the same text.You aguys hopefully are heading for the next stage of the recruitment.

I want to that assume it came from a customized name. What exactly does the text read? Where and how did they ask you to send your CV? Well, I am thinking that if you were successful in the test and hence invited for an interview, you would be given clear information on that. I suggest you here so that you can get a concerted advice. Howbeit, Transocean has you in mind! Best wishes.

I called BRASS and was told that successful candidates for ART/08 have been contacted. Does is mean that of over 100,000 members of this forum, only one person made it to the second stage? Or is it that members of this forum stifle information? Let me assume that the interview is in batches but..Na wa oh! It means that we have to work and pray harder..

>:( Whether first class or not,Transocean and BRASS are dubious partners in recruitment crime.if they want 40 people,they will invite thousands for test.those who were at the venues(lagos and port harcourt) of july 19th test can attest to this.they called people from all over the country for test when they have reserved 90% of the positions to their cronies.
when i saw some people with Transocean i.ds coming to write the test,i knew the whole thing is an 'in-house thing'.i remember very well that that stout woman,in P.H,was asking around for a particular boy that his brother called them to allow him write the test.
i went to P.H from Abuja and i thank GOD for sparing my life during that struggle.after 2 months no notifiation of result-whether failure or pass.next, we hear of interview,if they are sincere,let them send our results.
My friend warned me about Transocean but i never believed him.the july test was one of the cheapest test you can think of, yet nothing.This is not survival of the fittest but survival of the connected.One thing is clear,'he who the Father wants He makes rich'.that you are smuggled into a juicy place does not guarantee success in life,believe me.

There is no need complaining 'cos the IM factor that has been with our country since 1900...lol!. Since we have no means of stopping it for now, we must master it. Like you pointed out, the last transocean test was cheap but its not all about that, you know... If the job is for you then you'll surely have it... permit me to bother you with this belief. Like myself, I know you are suprised and disappointed but there is no cause for alarm yet....the interview might be in batches as I doubt that only one person from this forum made it to the second stage. Keep on keeping on my brother...It is still well. I am still hopefull oh! I learnt their package is too juicy...Prayers can change all things, the final list must be rejected if my name is no there 'cos the heart of kings is in the hands of God...

The interview 4 d REP program has been done. But i dont think those 4 ART/08 has been contacted. Keep ur fingers crossed. No cause 4 alarm yet.

Once you start thinking you are a victim of the act of god fatherism...then you're bound to be one.

My expectations are too HIGH to start thinking about that..if i'm not called then God has something bigger for me waiting and i can't worry about that but bide my time and keep developing my skills as i'm doing right now.

@Rockerfella, its a pity u talk the way u do, I can assure you that Transocean test, both exam and interview was as free and fair as the snow can be. Do not rub the name of a good company in the mud. I was called for the interview, and i never knew anybody in the company, same with some of my friends who were called. I might agree with u though if u said that i knew God, because he is the only one i know. I have even been given the slot after the interview. so dont deceive yourself as it was a white lady from outside nigeria that conducted everything, except we bribed her. In my own judgement, I have not gone for any interview or test as free and fair as that one.

I would advise you to go back to the drawing board and re-strategise. Read well and be very sure that u are competing not with yourself, but with the best in the country and beyond. You might get say 69 and 40 others had 80 and you claim you did well.

And for those that are annoyed that only few positions would be required and the company inviteds hundreds for the test, I ask, is it not better to give people the chance to compete by inviting them, than just inviting few and leave others without any oppurtunity. think about it..............Peace out

Rockefella is not wide of the mark, there is a possibility that whatever he implied is correct. I would say he put his observation and thoughts together to come up with statements. There is usually a balance or merit and interests. I would say that you have a more improper mindset and have shown how well you know God by not telling the house that you were called for a second interview when this information-sharing forum was guessing.

I understand that you have been given a place but know it now that it is no just as result of your handwork, some other people might have worked harder. The credit simply goes to God, after all this might not be your first aptitude test and/or interview. While I congratulate you on your success, I would appreciate if your give more information on the interview et al. Where you contacted through SMS, email or post? Where you told your score? Was the test based on pass-mark or cut-off basis? Did you hear anything about the interview for ART/08.

Finally, I would like you to cool your temper! You wrote as though you were annoyed.. You have a good point but a rather poor submission. There are better ways to convey ideas. Are you male or female? You sound like the later..Learn to give information to this forum not just getting from here, I can see you have only 9 posts. When you are down, be prayerful, when you are up, be loyal to Naijahotjobs that took you there..

Dont worry, I think I am a little bit above exchanging words with people, and I think this case would not be an exception. Its obvious ur school of thought is not far from that of rockerfella but that notwithstanding, I never said IM does not exist, I am particular about Transocean because I and a few people are living witnesses to the fact. Well, u are entitled to your opinion and views so it really doesnt matter.

Concerning your enquiry: We were contacted through SMS for CVs and later email. We were not told our scores but we happened to see it (thats the much I would say about that). It must have been done on a cut-off basis from what we saw (the number they felt they could handle). As for ART/08 we heard nothing- I doubt if anything has been done about that (ie in terms of interview)


The interview was for two days, if you pass the first stage (oral) you would be required to come the next day. The second stage was a series of activities- group work, presentations, aptitude tests and finally something that has to do with managerial decisions.(we were required to sit in for someone and given his files, write a report to be presented at a management meeting).

Thats all what happend. If you really need to contact me (I can assure you there is nothing more to say, i have said everything), then you can post ur email.

Got a text message message from transocean on teusday asking me to send my cv to a certain e-mail adress.Get the feeling it's for the ART test that held at adebola house,opebi road,on 18/07/2008. ???

Hey good people,i was given my interview invitation for transocean yesterday but was called this morning,15/11/2008, to be notified that the interview had been postponed indefinetely.However i was assured that those who were contacted would be contacted when they are ready.Please i don't know why we are quiet about this interview but i am sure others out there have also been contacted.If you have been contacted and see this message please let the house know and i would like to also know if you were notified of the postponment.Regards. ??? ;D ::)

I am sorry about this....If u really look at d way some pple respond to issues in terms of spelling and use of english u tend to ask urself weda ds person cld really pass a test or not....Generally pls let us brush up on our test materials and retrain or improve on our ability to understand use of english not to talk of calculation and d likes....

I will like us to know takin that test generally u need to b @ ur best ones u start missing 123or 4 questions in a test it is likely u wont b invited further so pls let us disregard God fatherism stuff even if it exist once is ur turn nothing will stop u

I only hv one question for you. U said U dont know anybody in Transocean, how were U able to see ur scores? We all know the answer to that question. I think it will be better for all the job seekers to acknowledge all the factors (including nepotism) that they are working against. This will make them better prepared for the FAVOR market. Having said that, what will be will be, Godfatherism or no Godfatherism

Hello house and I can see the heat for sure. Lets give room for human fraility so that we don't erupt first 'word' war in here.LOL [ just joking]. Please I applied for one of the most recent openings at Transocean [ date of submission of CV ended on 30th October,2008] as a mechanical technician cos I have a diploma in mech engnr. Please how do I go about it? How long does it take before they sit for apptitude test? Please send me info so I have work with it. @001, I share your view about this transocean thing, the true of the matter is that if a company needs 40 people and invites 1000, it is with the believe that they will have the best among those group of people invited.
@Rockfella.... you might write the cheapest test and yet fail, it might not be that you are not brilliant... if only 5 people are to be taken from a group of 15, and they all score the same mark in the test... I believe that they will only take 5 they want either by balloting, then the probablity tha you might be among them is with God. some thing getting a job is not by who you know, the places where those work are usually in the one man business or thereabout. A friend and classmate of mine got job in an Airline company, infact we both wrote the test, i wrote before him, and he got the job. Another works with a bank, he just gate crash in the north and today he is still with them...Remember that the most brilliant student can fail the cheapest of exam......

my brothers please leave transocean.move on with your life.what i experienced from them last year made me not to believe them again.whether brass or not,please think ahead and lets move on.our target is to get to the top.

Really suprised that you guys could spare all these time to argue and haggle about Transocean. Just move on if you were not called and good luck to you if you were called for the interview. Something bigger might come your way, possibly, that could make u forget about any other test(s) you must have written.
Granted all aptitude tests are never 100% fair. Thats the truth whether we like it or not.
