The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has released the results of the aptitude test conducted by the Fund to select suitable candidates for the award of the 2009/2010 PTDF Overseas Scholarships in the M.SC category. Details of the PTDF Scholarship award list indicate that not less than eight ( candidates from each of the thirty six (36) states of the Federation were confirmed worthy of the award of the Overseas Scholarship on the basis of merit, while an additional female candidate from each State will receive the Scholarship award on special gender consideration.Each of the oil producing States has in addition two Scholarship awards while the three (3) best performing candidates from the Federal Capital Territory have been slated for the Scholarship award.A statement by PTDF advises interested candidates who participated in the aptitude test to look up details of the 2009/2010 PTDF M.SC Overseas Scholarship award list in the official website of the Fund at the website, and in Daily Trust newspaper publication of Friday, March 6, 2009 and ThisDay newspaper publication of March 10, 2009. The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) awards Overseas Scholarships to deserving Nigerians at both the M.sc and Ph.d categories in oil and gas related disciplines as part of its mandate of building the capacity of Nigerians to be qualified for effective participation in the oil and gas industry.
