Re: NNPC Appointment Letter 2009
Hello house, you guys should exercise patience. For the fact that you went through the interview stage suggests that you were lucky enough. Pray for God's favour and 'IF' they are not using any political strategy or favouring the north most of you will be employed because you guys were few.

Re: NNPC Appointment Letter 2009
Guyz there is fire on the mountain.President Yar' dua wants to scrab NNPC and form NAPCOM.the oldies that were resisting that is GMD Engr. Lawal Yar' dua and Secretary and Head Legal Chief Mrs Sena Anthony were replaced with new ones.
The problem is that the recruitment exercise was the oldies plan and who knows whether the New leaders will allow the recruitment. But the main thing is that we have to allow them sometime first to sort themselves out. you know , new head , new board and then a decision will be made concerning the recruitment. so HOLD ON GUYZ GOD DE!!!!!!!so whats gonna be gonna be.

Re: NNPC Appointment Letter 2009

so please letz keep encouraging ourselves in the Lord
I trust God will favour us even with the so called new board
I have a feeling we all (that attended) the interview will be called up for employment
If you believe I need you to echo AMEN

Re: NNPC Appointment Letter 2009

But on ur issue darella, i think it is only NAPIMS that president Yar' dua has problem with.so it will become independent on its own and source fund from Public and Banks.

May I use this single opportunity to enlighten some members of the house, like 'Tripple E'. I guess our affiliation with this great forum is not only to seek job, but for education as well.
My candid opinion is that employment in the federal civil service is basically on the principle of the quota system. That's, each state of the federation is equitably represented without any relegation. Like in the last recruitment of NNPC, 2006/2007 nearly 30 candidates were employed from each state. And to be honest with u Tripple E, of the 1000 graduates employed, the Niger Delta was the most favoured. First of all, 250 slots were allocated to the area in the good spirit of the Government to cushion the effects of joblessness in the region, though every part of the country is seriously affected. Again, the remainder of 750 slots were equally shared among the 36 states of the federation including Abuja, of which the Niger Delta states also participated. However, the facts and figures are there for anyone's verifications. Yes, the north has 19 states (including the core northern states and the middle belt) and when it comes to number, you can do the mathematics.I believe from today, Tripple E and the likes are better enlightened!

Hi all hope we all are still praying
-
Re: NNPC Appointment Letter 2009
Lets keep on praying because there will be good news for all of us that attended the interview.I was reliably told that all the people that attended that interview will be given the job. Also, there will soon be another advert to include those that have 2.2. you know that we were 525 from all the states of the federation that were first called.Other people that were not call initially were later called reason been that we were less than expected which is the reason for the delay.Remember, we are going to be the ones to be impacted will the oil and gas reforms spirit.
hopefully, feb, the letters will be distributed.
keep ur fingers cross .
All the best.

Re: NNPC Appointment Letter 2009
The views posited by Kanshio here looks extremely over zealous and tinted with some biased rumour. 1st the Nass approved 150 new GT employees which was actually announced by the former GMD. 2nd is u said 525 attended the interview, this is against the actual of 528 though. Pls lets try 2 b realistic and factual in our opinions!l initially were later called reason been that we were less than expected which is the reason for the delay.Remember, we are going to be the ones to be impacted will the oil and gas reforms spirit.
hopefully, feb, the letters will be distributed.
keep ur fingers cross .
All the best.

Re: NNPC Appointment Letter 2009
I did my interview on 18th Dec, we where the last to be interviewed that day. One of the people cordinating things in the hall walk up to us when we were less than 10 remaining to be interview for that day. He encourage us and told us that all that where invited for the interview were based on merit. He also said that they are picking 4 from each state. I precisely asked him what role will our test score play in the selection process. He said the test is 60% of the overal score being objective and the interview is 40% being subjective. So the total of the two will determine the runners up - THE ELECT. I was reliably inform by a friend whose uncle is a human resource manager in one of the refinery that Niger Delta are agitating for 10 people from each of the oil producing state and the rest from other state. But I learned it wasn't successful. LETS KEEP HOPING!

Re: NNPC Appointment Letter 2009
A close confidant who did his interview at a later date was also among the 10. This strongly confirms the story enumerated by gbyg above. According to him some of them were initially disqualified because they just rounded off service and were later recalled, others because they were out of the country for an assignment, and few others because they were writing their msc exams. However, it clearly shows that they wanted to give everybody equal opportunity in the whole exercise. :D
