Chevening scholarship reference code

Just to inform the house that chevening scholarship board has started sending reference code for those that applied. mine was sent yesterday via my email addy. Best of luck to us all.

Guy, I also applied for the awards but i'm yet to receive a feedback from them. Finished with a 2.1, could that be y? I'm hopeful sha. And is the code for an aptitude test or something? Thanks.

There is no aptitude test. invitation for interview will be strictly based on your entry details and written essay. I also finished with 2:1 so be hopeful but try to check your inbox or spam. i got mine yesterday..the code is given incase of any inquiry and interview ...

Is it the scholarship for '09/10 session or '10/11 session? Please let me know cos it seems the deadline for the '10/11 is not near yet..

Its the 2010/2011 session. But I dont think you need worry cos the deadline is October 16th.

I have been trying to apply for a while to no avail. Pls is it compulsory that you write TOEFL/IELTS?. Or let me put it to you that did you write either of these exams. I have not written any of these exams, so I decided to choose English as a first language. Please what are the odds?.

I dont think you need to put English as your first language because they already know its not. I think if you have at least credit in WAEC English NOT NECO you stand a chance. But remember not all who gets that reference code will be called. The code is meant for reference only. By the way am not trying to dash hopes here but its the reality, they invite between 50- 60 and give only 10 people if much, then 15 Nigerians. That means you need to do a lot of work on your statement of purpose and have good academic grades too, BUT IELTS is an added advantage during the interviews if you are successful.

For those of you who haven't gotten your code, they are probably reading your application and havn't reach a decision yet. Just give them another week and hope for the best.

I just got my reference code today and i believe that these codes will be given out to applicants until the deadline. So if you haven't gotten yours, just relax because it will come.

@alishia go to www.britishcouncil.com or search for their site on google search for chevening scholarship when u get to the site select nigeria,but please hurry up coz its closing on friday 16th oct.

it is a study abroad scholarship but you must have atleast 2:1. it is administered by the british embassy..check this link to know more...
