Job Position: Research Administrative Manager
Job description:

• supervise and coordinate the activities of crop utilization laboratory
• conduct analyses on chemical, physio chemical and functional properties of cassava, yam, banana/Plantain, maize
• assist in the conduct of storage studies on fresh and processed foods from cassava , yam, banana, plantain etc
• provide expertise in quality control/assurance of laboratory analytic data
• Identify and order all approved equipment, chemicals and materials for the laboratory
• contribute to the capacity build on food analysis and training of youth coppers, industrial training(IT) students and researchers
• perform any duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualification:

• MSc in Analytical Chemistry or food science/Technology
• good understanding and operational skills of laboratory equipment such as HPLC, XRF, ICPAES and NIRS
• excellent understanding of issues related to food quality and safety
• ability to work under minimal supervision
