Topic: Recruitment Agents .. Is it all a scam !!

Hello house,
I want to get yout opinions on the following.
In the western world the vast majority of jobs (excluding graduate jobs) are sourced by recruitment agencies that act as middle men between Companies and job candidates.
I know they are a few of these in Naija but they seem very dubious asking for money up front e.t.c .
Has anyone had any dealings with a freelance recruitment agent? If so I would like to know how it went and if you would recommend them ..

I see your point.

There are a lot of fake and dubious recruitment firms all over Nigeria. They are apparently taking advantage of the high unemployment rate in the land.

However, the simple distinction between the genuine and the fake recruitment agencies is that the genuine ones will never ask you for money at anytime even after you have secured the job. Reason being that whatever cost they incur while recruiting you will be paid by your potential employer.

So take note!
