am very happy, i have been living aboard for 6 yrs and decided to relocate to nigeria, i was told that if you dont know anyone, your chances of getting a job is very slim.
well i have been in nigeria for 4months now and i have all the reasons to thank God because i have just got a job from one of the top banks, ust within 4 months of relocating!!
Please house keep praying because your own miracle is on the way. cheers every one.

How cud u b perturbed of getting a job here. having a foreign education(i guess is it even UK) puts u in vantage position. Nigerians and foreign nationals are dying to engage people like u 4 obvious reason(which is not always true).Did u enter as entry level by writing their their test or at an higher level. Still I am happy 4 u 4 realising ur dream. welcome 2 d house.

I am happy for you but i wonder why did u not use u degree to get a job abroad or wherever? why did u decided to relocate to niaja? and why did they ( top bank ) give u a job straight up when they are not even recruiting anymore within four months? just trying to be inquisitive here. no offence... thx

Does that mean you didnt have to do the "NYSC" thing everyone keeps going on about?
I want to relocate back to Nigeria, been away for 10 yrs and completed Sec sch (GCSE), A-Level and my degree over here in UK, however a number of ppl have told me I cant get a job without the NYSC cert.
I honestly dont mind doing d NYSC, however again I've read here and on other forums that the NYSC program is not useful, and should be scraped, I'm so scared that not only will I be posted to a remote village but also that at d end of the programme, the cost would outweigh d benefit.
As I have no "connections" in high places, I'm in a dilemma, so pls pls advice whether indeed I require the NYSC to get a job?

congrats on ur job and do have a favoured time in ur job.As for Opuim,well NYSC for me was a worthwhile experience and for someone from the diaspora,dont expect to be posted just anywhere,it might either be Abuja or Lagos.Make sure u decide on time,age matters alot.
