Topic: How to start up a Business with little capital

i was xpecting to get a tib but nada pls am really interested in knowing how to start ma own biz,plz fill me in

There is no other way to start a business with little capital than to get it started first..

know the kind of business u want to establish
be serious about it,
dont let any body manage it for u.
there is this saying that a journey of 100miles starts from 1 step ...

some will say i need a fat capital b4 i will think of starting up a business no with little capital one can still make it,

all it requires is commitment....

i know a person who started a phone call business and now he owns a very big outlet where he now deals with all kinds of accesseries and a sole distributor of mtn.

so dear like i said it needs ur full commitment and b4 u know it ur rich.

hello, it depends on the kind of business you want to embark on.to start up a business is not the problem but the quality level of service or product you want to deliver putting the interest of your customer at the back of your mind.

please note that some business does not need financial capital initially, but commitment , quality knowledge of the business and rendering a quality service which will latter provide a huge capital for you incase you dont have this before.while some need just a little capital e.g like purewater business, egg business etc

to start up a business with little capital depend on the business as i have said earlier:

1. i believe you already have a complete /quality knowledge of what you want and you have survey the environment in order to know the missing want which you can fill effectively and efficiently.

2. have a target customers

3. have a good location it might not necessary be a shop

4. register your business to give it an official look

5. have a good packaging of your product

6. Do one on one advert of your product and leave a good and correct contact address

7.monitor the growth of your product in the market

if your product or service is wonderful definitely you will make it.

There are various ways to start up a business.

You can decide to go as sole trader, partnership with little capital.

When you decide then you need a business plan with all the projections and analysis.

How do you raise capital:

You can raise money from savings, borrowing from family/friends/co-operative, bank over draft.

How much is little capital is very relative:

I tried writting a business plan on one pound shop until date l have not finished.

I also started one on palm oil business i stopped when i realised the contrains involved in sourcing for the product.

Currently you can start the following small business with small capital:

Trading in stock as a speculator

Selling sims and recharge cards

Selling soft drinks

Distributed for water dispenser company

Marketing agent- Just write to them that you can sell + they pay you commission.

You can start writhing books, short stories, children books

You can even become a freelance journalist selling your stories- you do not require
special skills for this just what you have learnt in school.

I remember one Xmas l made a lot of money following the season. I made mask for kids and they were buying it. You cannot put a price to your talent. It is your little capital.

So guys let us think as am thinking right now.

You can start with any amount of money. Your brain is king. Nobody can buy one.

Start with as little as you have... for me i believe Idea and Passion is more important than money, although getting the required money is not a bad idea.

To start business does not mean that you have big capital, one can start with small capital but one should put in mind determination.

Before you know your business will be expanding.

Hello!House members,we all have gr8 ideas abt starting a biz!but i tink the fed govt to put some structures(loans,electricity supply etc) in place to support and encourage small scale biz.this will go along way to reduce to level of unemployment and probabably reduce our poverty rate!

Mind u Naija is no longer suffering frm illiteracy but UNEMPLOYMENT.
