Our client in the construction industry seeks to recruit suitable candidates for the following positions:
1. MONITORING CLERK
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is under the supervision of the Sales Manager and is responsible for the monitoring of quarry sites activities.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
1. A Bachelors degree or HND in Geology, Geo-Physics or related field
2. Minimum of two years(2) experience in a stone production sites preferably Quarry
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Prior knowledge of production activities
· Good communication skills and the ability to write reports
· Interpersonal skills- the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
· Dependability- the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
2. COMMERCIAL AND PROCUREMENT OFFICER
POSITION SUMMARY: The Commercial/Procurement Officer is responsible for the provision of information for cost effective acquisition of materials and services to meet the business needs of our client. The candidate is required to play a critical role in providing technical guidance, assistance and support to ensure our client’s procurement process is diligently done according to best practices available.
EDUCATION
· Bachelors degree or HND in Environmental Studies (Quantity Surveying, Building Construction or Civil Engineering)
EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum of 5 years Commercial/Procurement experience serving in construction sector
2. Candidate should also have experience with computerized purchasing and financial systems
3. Successful candidate should also have the following:
§ Experience in negotiating contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and/or customers
§ Experience preparing RFI’s, RFP’s, RFQ’s, and Bid Agreements.
§ Experience evaluating or monitoring contracts performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations
§ Strong knowledge of contracts, commercial and construction law, claims avoidance, insurance, regulatory compliance, risk control, and contract administration
§ Extensive construction services procurement background and experience
§ Strong knowledge of applicable Federal and State procurement regulations specifically related to construction procurements.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills and be willing to effectively communicate and professionally represent our client in public meetings
2. Reasonable knowledge of computer skills with MS Office suite. A good level of individual initiative, planning and good judgment
3. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team oriented decision making environment, involving accelerated program delivery
4. Concentration, accuracy and attention to details are required
5. Personal integrity and excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing to deal effectively with the public and staff
3. SALES MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY: The person will generate new business in Osogbo and the surrounding region and will be expected to bring on new accounts to increase market share.
EDUCATION
· Bachelors degree(B.A) from four- year university course
· A recognized sales designation or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of ( eight years sales experience with at least five years in sales management or equivalent combination of education and experience
