Job Description
Our client seeks to recruit highly qualified and competent professionals to fill this vacancy arising from restructuring and expansion of the company’s operations

Position Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating, organising and supervising all operations and matters relating to loading and unloading of cargo onboard maritime vessels

Duties and Responsibilities
Organise and supervise container stuffing/unstuffing and generally handling the arrangement of cargo in the warehouse and terminal space.
Study bills of lading and stowage plans to arrange the sequence of loading and unloading operations
Work out the number of hours and personnel needed for every stevedoring operation.
Ensure that safety measures are in place at the dock and the terminal in the interest of workers involved in the stevedoring operation
Carry out all functions pertaining to cargo-labour and stevedoring services

Qualifications and Experience
First Degree qualification in a related field from a reputable institution
HSE training certificate is preferred
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within a large terminal organization
