A Growing Baptist Church in Mowe, Ogun State needs the services of a

Full Time Pastor

(full time employment with good remuneration and working conditions)

Qualification:



  • Hold a theological Master degree from Baptist Seminary

Experience:
Minimum of 5years pa storing post degree
Age:
40 years and above
Marriage:
Must be Married

SPECIFIC DUTIES:


  • Proclaim the Gospel through preaching the Word of God primarily in the English and Yoruba Congregation.
  • Teach Biblical truths in small groups, seminars, workshops and one-on-one ministry to promote Christian growth and maturity; and give positive leadership input into the lives of members of the congregation.
  • Coordinate the preaching rosters of the congregation and invite speakers as required in accordance with the constitution of the Church.
  • Provide pastoral care for the sick, visit members/worshippers, and deliver spiritual counsel to those who are hospitalized or grieving.
  • Monitor and support all groups and activities of congregations under his care.
  • Conduct baptisms and child dedication as required.
  • Other duties as required by the EC.
  • Be of good standing within and outside the church.
  • Demonstrate the qualifications, as set out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:7-9, and show evidence of shepherding, preaching and teaching gifts as set out in Ephesians 4:11-12.
  • Submit written evidence that he has practical experience in preaching and Christian service or specialized ministry.
  • Is expected to be committed to equipping the saints to see them grow into mature people of God.
  • Work effectively in multifaceted and multicultural ministry.
  • Be fluent in English and Yoruba language
