Mental Health Support Officer

Job Title: A Mental Health Support Worker offers services for the purpose of improving patients mental health; the post holder is expected to be readily available to patients, assist them in physical care, engage in observation and escorting duties, crisis support and intervention. Responsibilities: Build relationships with patients by engaging in minor activities like reading together, playing games together, watching TV together, and engaging patients in motivational talks so as to improve the quality of support provided; Assisting Nursing staff with clinical and non-clinical tasks; Interact therapeutically with patients; Go out with patients on parole when applicable; Ensure the patient’s environment is safe and neat: free from harmful objects; clothes and foot wears of patients should be neatly arranged; patient’s bed should be dressed properly; patient’s room should be tidy at all times; Ensure that electrical appliances e.g. bulbs, Air conditions and other appliances are switched off when not in use; Monitor and observe patient closely and report behavioural changes; Send resume to [email protected] Include your Phone number and Location.
