Our client, a newly established spa located in the mainland axis of Lagos, Nigeria currently seeks to recruit experienced, driven, result oriented and committed individuals for the role of Massage Therapists to deliver exceptional customer service in form of spa and massage treatments to its clientele.

JOB TYPE:
Full time; Permanent.

LOCATION
Lagos, Nigeria

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Effectively communicating to and educating clients about specific wellness concerns.
• Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
• Perform preparation work, properly clean and restock the storeroom as required.
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
• Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
• Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
• Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests.
• Must attend and participate in trainings and staff meetings.
• Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.

RELEVANT SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
• Must have complete knowledge and understanding of all Spa and massage therapy services
• Must have deep knowledge of all spa and therapy products.
• Must have the ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
• Must have the ability to perform a full body massage and other duties with attention to detail, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
• Must have Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
• Must be highly organized, analytical, creative and insightful.
• Should demonstrate good judgment and initiative.
• Should have a strong enthusiasm for Spa and Massage Therapy
• Must be mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with clients.
• Reliable, tolerant, and determined.
• Well-presented and business like. Keen for new experience, responsible and accountable.
• Able to get on with others and be a team player.
• Sociable, creative, persuasive and decisive.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of progressive experience in the massage and therapy field

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
Must possess a minimum of a BSc/HND in any field. Must also be a graduate of Massage Therapy institute or a Beauty School.
