Male Accountant Needed for a Travel and Tours Company (Hajj and Umrah Pilgrimage Services)

Our client, a reputable travels and tours company is urgently in need of a young male Accountant (with at least 2 years experience) for its Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage Services.

Location is Ojota, Lagos
The ideal person is expected to:

• manage and oversee the management of the financial activities of the company
• implement the company’s financial policies and strategies
• ensure the most effective and appropriate use of the company’s finance and funds
• prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports
• compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
• establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• analyze and review budgets and expenditures for office imprest and expenditure
• monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
• resolve accounting discrepancies
• supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
• interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits. o Other duties as assigned.

Education and other requirements:

• 0 - 2 years of accounting experience.
• A first degree or HND in Accounting or any related field
• Good interpersonal and communication skills o Teamwork and respectfulness
• Ability to use Accounting software ( Peach tree/ Sage)
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including generally accepted Accounting principles.
• Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Prompt response to and resolution of operational/ system queries, faults and service requests
• Maintain high standard of integrity and company confidentiality
