Role Summary:
He/She has the responsibility for the management/optimal utilization of the event centre and business development drive to ensure profitability and that targets are met and surpassed.
MAIN ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Amongst other functions, candidate shall be responsible for:
1. Maximum utilization of the hall and its’ facilities
• Churches – every Sunday
• Shows/Concerts – every Sunday evening
• Weddings/Receptions – every Sunday
• Dinners/Shows/Concerts/Trainings/dance classes – Mondays - Fridays
• Must organize shows every public holiday
2. Business Development Activities;
• Coordinating team members for regular prospecting and marketing activities for generation of new businesses
• Maintaining old accounts to ensure repeat business
• Conceptualising periodic events to drive a high level of awareness for the hall and also sourcing for sponsorship to organize such events
3. Maintenance of the hall & its’ facilities:
• Facilities include: Chairs, tables, A/Cs, Cold room, light fitting, sound system, rest rooms etc
• A perpetually clean environment at all times, with plants well tended and managed, inside and outside the hall.
• Regular and quarterly stock taking
4. Security of lives and property:
• Safety of all amenities in and around the hall; to include all equipment, client materials, etc.
• protection of property from fire, riots, vandals, etc
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
• B.Sc. or HND from a reputable higher institution
• Membership of a professional body is an advantage
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 3 years ‘hands on’ marketing experience in the event or entertainment industry

• Sound knowledge of account planning, and budgeting
• Computer proficiency a given

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong leadership and team building skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and lead teams
• Excellent command of the English language - spoken and written
