General Manager for a Poultry products Distribution (Trading) Company

A newly established Poultry products Distribution (Trading) Company is seeking to hire a General manager . The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the day to day activities of the company.

Job Description and responsibilities:
v Supervise and direct the activities of the Three (3) Departmental Managers.
v Plan sales direction along with the marketing team.
v Plan operation strategy along with operation team.
v Review finance and accounting report from the Finance and Administrative Department.
v Oversee administrative arm of the company.
v Prepare income and expenditure budget and defend same.
v Render monthly, quarterly and annual performance report to the Board.
v Defend the company policies and procedure and ensure adherence to it’s corporate goals
v Coordinate the nationwide activities of other branches that will be established subsequently in Abuja and Lagos.

Minimum requirements:
Minimum of 1st degree from a reputable higher Institution ( An inclination to Finance & Accounting will be an advantage as well a MBA).
Minimum work experience should be Ten (10) years. (Experience in a Sales and Marketing Company (FMCG) is an advantage) such experience must be at managerial level with evidence of responsibilities undertaken.
Personality traits will include – Diligence, Self motivated (i.e. being able to work without supervision), Resilience and People Management skills

Reporting Lines:
The General Manager will report to the Chairman and /or the Executive Director as required. The three departmental Managers will in turn report to the General Manager.

Location:
Port Harcourt with supervisory responsibilities over Abuja and Lagos outlets in subsequent years.
