hello house, i want to have ur opinions on this issue. A friend of mine who's a graduate wants to marry a young lady who's still writing jamb and hoping to sponsor the girl further to university level,but the parents of the girl didnt support them.some say,its an abomination,that the girl need to grow more and make a better choice for herself meanwhile this girl is 21yrs already.should the guy leave this girl or should they continue irrespective of the consent of the parents?

University/Polytechnic environment is one of the most potent medium that influences the human behaviour.
The girl may claim to love your friend completely without blemish but wait for her to get into the university and see the outcome.
In my opinion, your friend should never dare to sponsor a girl to school especially when she is too young to know what serious relationship is all about and morever, from all indications they don't have much support. If he dares, there are higher chances that he'll regret it at the end of the day. The best he can do for her when she gets into school is to give her whatever he feels he can support her with without any "string" attached.

I totally concur wt d last post!...there are lots of extraneous variables that can influence this young girl in the Campus! even though she is a consenting adult by virtue of her age, she is however not yet capable of independent reasoning!
if ur guy really luv her, he should lay his foundation very well now and allow the girl to pursue her studies! it would have been lot easier if he has been able to secure the go ahead order of her parents!
Girls at this age are still within the realm of juvenile infatuation and infantile crush!

Make use of what God gave you
I don't really support dating much younger girls.
Now its all easy to think the girl is bound to disappoint the guy and so he shouldn't do it, but at times the girl may actually feel trapped later on.
I mean she's expected to marry this guy out of gratitude, it could be terrible. Not good for both parties at all.
So i say, a guy shouldn't take responsibilities just to entrap a girl and a girl shouldn't reap from where she has not sown and plans never to sow
