It not a laughing matter, you are not a lone. In Nigeria of today, it is a tall order. But I advise to look in another, get self employed. That another tall order, but it can be done cause I have done it.

Don't kill urself becos u hav a 3rd class. U can go 4 a PGD or get self-employed. My woman took tese options and she is doing wonderfully well. All d best.!

Being true to ur self is the first step to make it, congrate. look right inside your self and u will see that u have somthing that is more than ur result.

Having 3rd class doesnt make u a 3rd class person. if u can set your mind at whatever u want to do u might end up employing 1st class people. U may go for a PGD as someone said or try one or two places go to aptitude test place eg UBA and write their tests. U can always defend yourself at the interview hall

Look, forget the third class.
If u see an advert that requires a 2nd class upper apply. You may be shortlisted, if not, it's not ur time yet.
A scenario, I know someone who graduated with a 3rd class, today the guy is working in the best NGO in the world. and doing a Phd now.

Don't listen anyone saying you cant be what u want to be. A secondary school leaver makes it in this world. Believe in yourself, trust God and work hard.........................YOU MUST MAKE IT!!

hi brother i feel your predicaments . i also have a 3rd class from the university of lagos and i must tell you it was acery bad feeling then. after i graduated i made up my mind to add something to my degree every tear and it has been worth it all the way .

in 2003 i did ccna
in 2004 i went for youth service
in 2005 i took training and did the exams for proficiency certificate in management from the Nigerian institute of management
in 2006 i did my M.Sc. in university of lagos
in 2007 am working at pan african university lagos business school
and i am also a GIS consultant with majors in location Based Services, fleet management and vehicle tracking

hello,the third class should not define who you are?The university system in nigeria is facing a downturn.This of course,everybody knows,even coys are aware.Do your best in the tests that u can write and portray your value in the interviews.Remember,u can be the best.it should motivate u,not derail your potentials.u can achieve the best.above all,pray.

i have d same tin but i didn't kill myself but instead i went on 2 pick PGD form and very soon i will start lectures and be stilling looking 4 a job. pray 4 God's favour upon u.

i feel you my dear.infact i'm in thesame dilemma with you.i graduated with a 3rd class but i registered in a computer school where i can equip myself and if i'm 2 look for job,i know i'm advantaged in that area.don't 4get God shows mercy upon whom He would show mercy.pray that He shows you mercy and He will surely favour you. that is exactly wot i'm doing and i am beginning to see His handwork in my life.don't give up, its not over.

God is the only one dt can sort u out if u believe him. Theres no cause to worry. Press on. A friend of mine like u is doing very much well now even with 3rd class.

u might av a 3rd class but dat doesnt mean u're worth it. look inside urself and u'll see sometin dats 1st class der.

Brother Believe in urself and put your trust in God. A 3rd class cannot stop you from fufilling Gods purposed destiny in your life. 3rd class is man made u know? look inwards and manifest that supernatural 1st class god has deposited in you.

im so glad wit peoples response in here.i also have a third class,it does'nt mean i am dumb.i ave the brains to achieve wat eva i want to achieve wit determination.one funny thing i keep doing is applying for jobs that they specifically emphasized on 2nd class but i dont care ive been called for an interview,i also have one today,i believe in my self.i believe i am what God says i am.so being a third class is not a big deal just apply for a pgd.

one thing i want u to understand is that u dont need a certificate(Bsc.BA,HND etc) to make money or be comfortable in life(which is mans prime target).....so called illitrates are employing degree holders of all cadre...does that make any sense...?

Honestly guyz, am so happy with ur responses to dis topic posted by our broda. The issue at hand is all about prooving to all that u really are worth more than the 3rd class u graduated with. Proove a point to all by discovering who u are, wat u are and wat u can do. I graduated with a 3rd class too but presently, am a consultant in aquaculture, a professional pianist.
Presently serving with an international center for communication and information studies in abj, a Network Administrator, a web developer;java programmer,SQL server database administrator, work on the linux platforms and presently working on my PGD and masters admission to a reknowned and highly acclaimed school in the UK to have my masters in Personal mobile and satellite communications after which i'll come back to dis country by His grace to make things happen. So by all i've said bro, u realy are more than u think if u believe in urself and hope on God. U go make am, no worry.

First of all don't let graduating with a third class weigh u down. There are some prominent members of our society who are third class products and they are what they are today cos they didnt let it weigh them down.
I think the first thing u should do now is see your self as and treat yourself first class.
Then add more certificates to it and the sky will be your starting place.

I have two girl friends i knew the 1st 2004 ( Hausa) and the 2nd 2006(Ibo). The 1st is far from me we do see once in a year and the 2nd stay and work in Abuja where i also work and we do see frequently. I told the 1st lady that i will like to Mary her becks she is a nice woman and truly she is very loving and caring. Because of her any lady that come my way i try to ignore not until i meet this Ibo lady i could not resist to friend. Gradually we become close and we love each other and the love i have for the 1st become week perhaps because we are far from each other. As time goes on i told the Ibo lady i want to Mary her and truly if i can find my way i will love to Mary her but the fear of how to adopt Ibo life style do scare me and how she can coup with Hausa life style as well as the promise i made to the Hausa lady be for that i will Mary her. I TOLD the Ibo lady that i want to Mary her.Sometimes the Ibo lady try to to be hard to get and she is not too caring like the Hausa lady, hardly she call me unlike the Hausa lady that call me regularly, i dint too trust the Ibo lady. The Ibo lady is light in complexion, fashionable, herdworking and intelligent and i believe with her as my wife i will achieve my dreams because i trip for sharp ladies .The Hausa lady is also equal to the tax only that she is black in complexion. The truth is that if i Mary any one of them i will not regret. I dint too trust the Ibo lady like the Hausa lady. The Ibo lady is working and independent while the Hausa lady is waiting for her NYSC september 2007.I believe both of them love me and will be willing to Mary me. It seems the Hausa lady love me more that the Ibo lady. If i Mary the Ibo lady i will not suffer to look for job for her again considering unemployment problem in this country and she will be of help to the family. If i Mary the Hausa lady i have to safer again to look for job for her which is not easy to come. The Hausa lady is not yet working but she has a solid family.The Hausa lady knows everything about me and i hide somethings from the Ibo lady.
I want to settle down soon aim confuse i dint know who to choose. I prayed to God but have not seen any revaluation on who to choose.Pals help me friends.

U have a 3rd class........so wat?........Dont limit yourself in any way o!.i knw poeple who graduated with a 3rd class and they have nice jobs.Any job Application you see,send in your CV even if they say the minimum requirement is a 1st Class.Dont think you're disadvantaged in any way......Keep Hope Alive!!!

Hey ......why worry, that u have a 3rd class does not mean those with 1st calss re better than u ..we all know what is involve now in our school system.dont let that tot to weigh u down.apply in any advert u see, its what u have up stairs that counts ok ....let me tell u there is this guy i use to know way back in school who is now with exxon-mobile the had this test 2005 and could u believe he was among the first 10 they termed as excellent what has he got (HND Lower Credit) so u see what i mean.it was his brains that paved way for him.so my dear dont give up try ur best and leave the rest to God ok.

I know someone who also does(came out with 3rd) and she is doing great.she started small though but now she is being employed for the number of years of experience she has and not for what she is came out with.best of luck
