KOKO MANSION-A parade of beauty without brains

[b]Has anybody seen KOKO Mansion,I cant help but wonder what the criteria of selecting the KOKOLETS were, :-\ or what D'Banj intends to ahieve at the end of the whole show. ???
The KOKOLETS(girls)are well. goodlooking (few of them though)but intellectually deficient and defective.
D'Banj should not forget he is a UN ambassador for youths and as such a lot is expected of him in terms of leading an exemplary and praiseworthy lifestyle of high moral standards, not parading young girls as sex symbols on TV.
If you ask me.I think the show is nothing but a flagrant display of the ostentatious and flamboyant lifestyle of waste by D'Banj and Mo'Hits.There's just nothing informative or educative about KOKO MANSION,just a waste of precious and expensive airtime.
I believe D'Banj has already attained fame,thus no reason for that crappy show ,if he thinks he has so much money to throw around,he should take a cue from the late Micheal Jackson and reachout to the thousands of helpless children in the streets of Nigeria,or betterstill stick to his music.
I am sure by now he must have realized what a flop the show has turned out to be,not to mention the high wave of criticsms from the press,no thanks to the scavengers who must have brainwashed him into the whole KOKO MANSION idea. :) :)

Believe me, I think D'Banj is the victim here. Koko mansion from the onset had no vision. It was just a way for the so called Hi-TV to retain their premiership intoxicated subscribers. What better way than to drag in a superstar that can create attention. I guess they made him an offer he couldn't resist. Like you said by now he should realise his error. As far as I am concerned Hi-TV is trash and not worth my time.

Is it only hi-tv that shows this stuf? What of dstv,or any other channel. I need to make my observation first b4 criticism...

Am not suprise with the reaction & bad reviews the show is getting.
It was built on very flimsy foundation. The show was just a photocopied version of a similar show by a member of the american rap group Public Enemy (the guy that hangs a clock on his neck).
With the rate at which nudity, 419 & general immoral lifestyle is being promoted on local TV lately, I think its high time something is done to check this less I whither for our future generation

Those girls are disgrace to my gender. Watched there debate on rebranding yesterday and i was so so angry.

I really wanna see where all these will lead to. It's really a show of mediocrisy. I really think D'banj must have been bamboozled by HI-TV; for him to have gotten into this.
In my opinion, I think it's a FIASCO.

I saw the show one night on Silverbird and I found it very funny- I couldn't help stop at the intelectual composition of the ladies.... they were asked to stage presention about their lives using their pictures! It was clownish; one of them called Rita in particular! It's a pity those ladies have been willingly reduced to mere play things!

HONESTLY, SOME OF US ARE VERY PAROCHIAL IN OUR VIEWS. IF WE CANNOT APPRECIATE THE LADIES, AT LEAST WE APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT THE PROGRAMME HAS 100% LOCAL CONTENT AND IT INTEND TO SHOWCASE THE QUALITIES THAT MAKE A GOOD WOMANHOOD IN NIGERIAN LADIES.
FORGET ABOUT THE CRITERIA FOR THE SELECTION HERE. IT'S IMMATERIAL!
AS A MATTER OF FACT, EVERY POTENTIAL WOMAN IS QUALIFY TO BE THERE, REGARDLESS OF TRIBE, BEAUTY, RELIGION AND SOCIO-CULTURAL BACKGROUND.
AFTER ON, MOST OF THE TV REALITY SHOWS THAT GLUE US TO OUR TV SET NOW. WERE NOT PERFECTED IN A DAY.
SO, THERE IS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT FOR THE KOKOMASTER.(ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY).
GIVE D'BANJ ANOTHER CHANCE. HE CAN DO BETTER. CONTRIBUTE YOUR OWN INPUT. MAKE A CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM..
KOKOMANSION WILL SOON BECOME A HOUSEHOLD TV REALITY SHOW.

what are you on about. That show has no ORIGINALITY. Its 100% adulterated version of a similar american show centered around an american rapper from the group Public Enemy. I dont see the points you make about portraying good womanhood. I dont see how an adulterated product can be improve, maybe you have a better idea, but you have'nt said anything.
Anyway, its all constructive criticism

I dont think we should totally criticize the show at least its an effort...maybe oneday we might have a reality show on selected graduate youths to showcase how furstrated they are when searching for good jobs ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

i agree with you my brother i really dont have much time for the show but some people do like it i think it would have been really good if it was more educative and intellectual than just entertainment which is boring anyway withthe girls eating too much..lol. But i think a show for frustrated graduate youths will be more interesting. ;D

Did you ever watch the first edition of "The Interns"? and then "The Apprentice Africa"? If you did, then compare both Shows with "Koko Mansion".

The show has a wrong objective par method of attainment. All I see about the show is desperation from Hi-TV to gain subscriber base, craze for fame by the so called kokolettes, and a rush to infuse morally degraded foreign culture into our local environ. It is not about local content, it about the intent. What are you telling those teens out there? Of what importance in terms of personal development (like Apprentice Africa) are you getting? What benefit is it to the well being of the youths especially coming from someone that is a UN ambassador?That's the question.

Saying kokomansion is a flop is an understatemnt. d'banj and co need to take tutorials on how to organise reasonable reality shows from organisers of ambo, next movie star, ultimate search etc. it's indeed a parade of 'artificial beauty' without brains.

For me the main structure of the programme itself is defective right from the selection stage, it didnt attract the right audience. There is more to an African / Nigerian lady than just a prety face.

I expect the show to test contestants for virtues such as integrity, honesty, respect for self and others, patroitism, hardwork and deep sense of responsibility which are the hallmark of African womanhood. As it is, the average viewer of the show has nothing to emulate from those girls/ladies. I certainly dont. All i can see is the quest for fame, i doubt the young ladies know whats really expected of them. Lets watch them unchaperoned

I would advice subsequent edition be fashioned after 'the Apprentice Africa" but this time with all female contestants. This way, thru the various tasks, the viewer will be able to see and judge the ladies in real life scenerios, watch from their interactions with the public how respectful thay are, their integrity level, respect for our culture and values, their business acumen, eloquency, managerial and leadership skills and submission to authorities and laid down rules. These i believe every well brought up lady has which makes her adjust swiftly and quickly from being a girl one day to a wife and mother in a short time and still have a career/buz.

The African/Nigerian lady is beautiful, strong, eloquent, curteous, brilliant, spiritual, a good cook and has high moral values.

These are the xteristicsw i would love to see in koko mansion.

I agree with you...the first time i watched this particular clip, shame catch me, no be small. Imagine, "kokolet" wey no fit express herself for English..it's a shame, infact the show is a f***kup.

I havent watched the show of shame becos i knew it would be a load of crap. It was just a strategy by the masterminds of the show to become richer while the gullible ladies who bought the forms would have become poorer by d amount of money they spent procuring the form. Many Nigerian ladies are not that sound intellectually. If they are not deficient in spoken english, check their write ups. It would be full of blunders. Some can neither speak nor write a sentence without making unpardonable mistakes. Am talking about the so called graduates among them. U cant even find first class female graduates in such shows.

Personally, i think that programme is lame in mission, maimed in vision, deficient in imagination and defective in inspiration.

Koko Mansion is just a mirrow;it shows a vital part of the youths this country has produced.It is neither a gender manipulation nor a friction of characters.It is real !!!

Some of our youths find it difficult to express themselves,some do not know what they really want and some are still fighting with self discovery.

For the ladies in Koko Mansion ,there is more to beauty than facial disposition of pretty.
For the organisers of the programme, I think they need to learn the basics of presentation and excellency of purpose in whatever they do.I believe they can do better.

However - kudos to the organisers of the progamme - A programme indeed !!!

I took my time to see the show but belive me it gives me the creep of what goes on in the mind of this super star. for the girls i dont blame them it is a rush 4 'fame and money. ;D. what should be noted here is that one man food is another man stone :D :D.

I v seen the show oh and d fist question i asked was wat was d criteria for selectin these girls (was it girls dat know nuttin apart from dancing and gossiping), or was it that D.banj refused intelligent girls or that girls with brains just refused to audition for the show? i dont watch it all the time but d days i v watch i v established that those girls r really empty vessels. they do not potray us well and they dont know a thing. may God almighty help us. I just have hope that there r still brilliant virtuous women out there....

I didnt watch d show but I'm not surprised with the comments arising therefrom. I recently headed a youth forum where various community development tasks needed to be accomplished within a very limited time and what I experienced from the so-called graduates has been fully articulated by the various comments here. I can only add that this does not apply to ladies alone. There are graduate guys without brains too.
