interview question, "Do you lie"?

During an interview, if you are asked this question "Do you lie"?
pls. guy what will be the responds? ???

If I am asked,I would say that personal value comes in here.Any company

asking such question during interview should be investigated.May be they

are into dubious and sheddy deals as such requires the services of

someone without conscience!Since no sane man would admit under such

circumstance to be a liar and I 'm sure they know that,You had better

watch out!

Hi Churchill, i think such a question could be best answered firstly, by asking if you can lie. that means, the answer to the question is a function of your sincerity. and i don't think you will like to lie in an attempt to cover the fact that you do lie, that will be another lie even to the interview panel you know!

I think you have to be tactical answering such question. If you say No depending on what kind of job you applied for u may be considered unfit but then it also says alot about your integrity saying Yes to such question.

I think you could say depending on the situation you may tell a lie if it means saving a life, a business or wrapping up a deal.

Your quetion started with if hence the conditionality. The indication of this is that it's never real. The employer has their own integrity so also u. Even if they do a shaddy deals they would not post the question that way rather they will employ psychology at understanding your personality.

To me there is no need of telling them what you are not if at all such scenario comes to reality. Say the truth and let the truth set u free

I think this is a tactical question that needs a lot of careful thought before a response is provided. Faced with that question, my response would be that whether I lie or not depends on the situation in which I may find myself. There are instances where one would have to lie in order to save one's head or even another person's head, some of such situations could be life threatening. If I'm faced with a dangerous situation where telling the truth can be dangerous I would lie. Instances, such as when faced with an armed robber whose face is known to me but the robber is not sure I do recall his face; the best option here is denial which of course is a lie. So, whether one lies depends on situation confronted with. Outrightly saying that you don't lie just to save face is tantamount to lying. There you have it.

Pls say NO! Pls dont lie in the name of God. It's a test of faith. Jump am pass.

Pls if ask such a question just answer like SlimOrims said you could say depending on the situation you may tell a lie if it means saving a life, a business or wrapping up a deal, this is ok .....but saying NO ...my dear the interview panel will know ur even saying a BIG LIE.

D question is a psycholgical one, if u say yes they'll know u r telling a big lie, Y don't u just say yes i lie but not always and it depends on d situation, if it's a situation like death and it requires u lie, then u r left with no other choice than 2 lie.

You see my dear churchill, I am a good testimony to that question. During my interview in my present organisation (CATERPILLAR). I was asked if I told lies (Business lies) and I thought for a second knowing it was a very tactical one I replied with a resounding YES!!!!, I cited some instances and that was what landed me the job I must tell you. I was invited alongside 10 other interviewees and I know I never had the best grades amongst those guy besides they were university graduates and I was from a polytechnic. Sometimes you have to tell business lies to land a deal for your employer. They really might not expect you to tell a lie but they just want to know what you would tell a customer when the chips are down.

I'd rather say i don't lie, but i have lied before because i am only a man and since am still a mortal i could still lie.

This is a relative question i agree with the sch of thought that depending on the situation one find him/her self.

For me, it depends on the type of question asked. If its gonna e something they'll test you on, please say the truth. If its something you know you can get away with, why not?you can

DOIN, you are the man. why should you lie when asked if you tell lies? lets face the truth, we are all humans. no matter how little, we have lied on one occaision or the other. i will tell the truth, I TELL LIES WHEN THE NEED ARISE!

Well if u mean to say not saying the truth early in order to avoid damages, i do sometimes. So as regard wat i hav just said, I lie. :) ;D ::)
