You are not alone my brother. I graduated October 2005 and I was deployed by NYSC in March 2007. Its not a pretty thing to experience but you have to make the best use of your time.
Point of correction! - You are not poor. What you need to survive in this complex world is not what you've got in your pockets (remember you came to this world with Zero Naira) but, its what you can make out of your brain (thats your greatest asset).
I tried making the best use of my NYSC disappointment and it worked well enough. Think if something constructive you can make out of your present situation.
Best of Luck
