Hi House,
Saying 'I love you' is the easiest help to give to some one. It may be something that will heal a dieing heart or wounded spirit. The words are so small but powerful.
The question now is is it proper to say such words to some one of the same sex as you? It's rarely done in this part of the world. But if it's not, then why?
Pls house, let me know your views.

I dnt thnk dr is anythn wrng wt sayn i luv u to some one of d same sex..however it is the underlying intention dat matters!....it is a pity that in dis part of the world people tend to ascribe unnecessary weight to the word that even whn u tell a girl dat is not ur babe i luv u for mayb wat she did 4 u, her boyfriend will fold trousers.
this has degenerated to the extent that some parents find it herculean to say it to their kids! even siblings shy away from uttering it... which shouldn't b !
it is high time we re-orientated our selves on this issue...if indeed u dnt hate a fellow brother why will it be difficult for u to say i luv u!...its is merely an expression of acceptance for cryn out loud! so far thr is no hidden agenda!....ONE LUV!
be good all the time

To me its ok. I have close friends and we say that to one another. Its an expression of love. You only feel akward when you dont say it with a sincere mind or when u have dirt on your mind or when u are really and the other person is not. Then its akward and embarrasing to you.![]()
It is a welcome idea, but the basis of saying such words is very important.
I do say it to My Son anyway and he equally reply me the same.
So it depend on you and who you are saying it to.
