One of the four electrocuted construction workers working on a multi-million naira office expansion project at the Osun State House of Assembly has died.

This followed fatal injuries he sustained on Thursday when the incident happened.

Our correspondent gathered that the workers were working on the electrification of the new office complex.

Although four of them suffered electrocution, one died due to the severity of the shock.

It was gathered that the three other affected officials were receiving treatment at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.

A renowned indigenous firm, Katagum Construction Company, is handling the work.

The Press Secretary to the Speaker of the House, Mr. Olumide Ajayi, said the Speaker had travelled to Abuja for a conference.

A civil servant working in the House, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident. He described it as a terrible occurrence.
