No, i don't think so, banks are still recruiting en masse;

They even recruit people to be in charge of the ATM thereby creating more oppourtunity for graduates.

Abeg ATM is a good thing; don't be biased about it.

The ATM idea is fantastic! It's one of the technological developments that has really had an impact on a large number of the populace who have a connection with banking.
By and large, it has it's own demerits just like anything that is man-made. However, those demerits are being worked on.

ATM has and will never take the place of staff working in banks. It only makes their job easier as well as create new job openings. Lots of people have been employed into banks to manage ATM services - vis-a-vis complaints, balances updates relating to the use of ATMs.

In my opinion, ATM has not in the least, reduce recruitment by banks.

societies that ve attained significance and success are more or less completely cashless ones( u dont need to carry cash around, all u need is ur credit card, ATM etc)...ATM is one of such means to help make a nation cash free...more ppl are actually employed in controlling th ATM department of anybank than u think...ATM has gone a long way in reducing crime...traders who ply long routes esp at night dont need to bother about being robbed cos they aint carrying raw cash but ATM...the list is endless
