For those that applied for TRAINEE BREWER position, the format as at last yr is as follows:
- learn all you can about production of beer.
- kinds of yeast used for the types of beer...sacharomyces cerivisae and uravum (i think)
- know the importance of the enzymes at all stages from start to the end.
- which part of the tongue is sensitive to bitter, sweet and sour tastes.
- know a little about ph...even that of water (recall that its slighting acidic)
- know all the terms related to brewery e.g attenuation. e.t.c
- conversion of units relating to volume...e.g pints of beer, hectolitre, gallons e.t.c
- other small chemistry and biology mainly related to the brewery process.
Thats all i can recall from last years test folks. And tym would be reasonably sufficient!
I got the email as well, but i ain't attending.
Goodluck folks.
