I categorically requested for my test venue to be PH only to see them to invite me for a test in Lagos I still have the saved page as evidence that I really chose PH over Lagos. I'm just pissed that a big corporation like that can make this type of silly mistake

I know som1 who chose PH too but got invited to Enugu instead. True it may be a lack of co-ordination on their own part, but you shld be grateful dat u were invited out of 1000s of applicants..Pls stop whining & go prep 4 ur test. Gd Luck.

My own is that I give glory to God,when I scanned my documents for uploading,I didn't even put my birth certificate but when they said their servers is now open for those to complete their uploads or correct their uploads,I tried frantically to no avail I couldn't open it,It was as if the doors were shut on me.I had given up hope,blaming myself for errors,but to my greatest surprise, eeyayayaya,the Holy spirit brought my IV to me via my BB alert.Praise God,He that has done this great thing,will perfect it till the end.My question is brothers:

I think d situation in d country has left most of us Nigerians to just take what we are given when we really deserve more! Anyway thanking God is important, but for God's sake we know the posting of candidates to venues they didn't choose is just like stressing them. Even some more horrible situations candidates pay for online applications and still didn't get informed of test venues electronically but have to keep searching newspapers or frequenting the site such applications were made. We have to say NO to all these!

I quite agree wit u I9JA et al., I wonder why people have to be suffering and smiling, as some oda forumites are implying. Agreed, it is a thing of joy to be shortlistd but wat is d essence of d info they collected? was it not supposed to be for dis end? Imagine an un-employed graduate having to travel from Lag to PH, payn hotel accmdatn wen he/she clearly stated preferred test location as LAGOS. It is high tym we recognize our worth and also be veeery realistic in tackling some issues. But all d same, NNPC can be pardoned.Quote:

I am surprised by the comments of the first few guys, following the first post. Who says this guy did not give glory to God? And is this not a forum where people can say their minds? Do you know what this guy would be going through having his test location changed? We should all think deeply before saying these things. Plus, I am aware there is a particular guy who responded negatively, yet had his venue changed (not naming names). I haven't got an invite yet, and if I get one asking me to come write the test at a venue other than specified, I'll be asking these same questions!

Was ds rily a mistake? Coz i chose Lagos as my test location only 2 b posted 2 Rivers state. I dnt evn knw hw 2 go abt it. They said its in Borokiri. Plz mangohead where is d venue 4 dat of lagos and when is d date coz dat of rivers is 26th? Plz i nid a reply. I chose Abuja and now my test centre is ibadan. Im in the UK presently. Fortunately for me, all the people I wish to see when I come to Naija are presently in Lagos and Ibadan. Its just an arrangement from God I must say. Im glad of their shortcoming as it will pay off now.

I am amazed at the way we react to various situations. When we do not have, we complain...when we have, we still complain. So what if you did not get your desired center, make the best of the situation and get on the best form of transport available to you and go write the exam. This does not mean you are settling for less, it just shows that
A) You have reacted positively to the situation
B) You are looking at the bigger picture, which is trying to get the job.
There are loads of people, who haven't gotten invites who will trade places with you in an instant. So make a decision for yourself and please dont complain. Life is not always handed out to us on a sliver platter.

well i think the posting was done based on the residential addresses we filled....i put Abj as preferred location but they posted me to Lagos though my residential address is lag,,,,,,,all the same i'm in lag now.GOD WILL US..

I credit all dat criticised mangohead aswell as those dat supported him cause I'm indifferent bout d situatn, yeah he has to appreciate dat he was invited cos I rem 1st bank didn't invite me last year and it was burnin me inside to d extent dat if dey said I shud come to iraq for d test I would have gone but also we r applyin to jobs to start earnin money not to start spendin d lil we have, no1 knows d situatn of mango's finance. Pls house I tink d important tin now is d test format! Cos I heard d end dey r only recruitin 10 per state, dat is 360 peeps out of the 1000s dat are writin!
Well, I know of a candidate in Warri that choose Benin but was relocated to Abuja for the test.
However, NNPC did not make it known from inception to experienced applicants that they will take a test. The global standard is to screen the cvs of experienced applicants and invite suitably qualified candidates for a chat. Atleast that is the process I had experienced in the last three years with international job placement and for a moment, I thought that was the way NNPC wanted to go with the experienced applicants because we were not given the option to pick test venue while we sent in our application!
The idea of test was only applicable to graduate trainings during the period of application. Hence, their prefered choice of location. Nevertheless, experienced have been shorlisted for a test together with graduate trainings. Can't complain
