The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
Well dudes and blokes,I stand to be corrected but If my memory serves me right, I was in IBadan for the P&G interview last month, February upon invitation by the organisation from Abuja.
By the grace of God,I got to the Third stage of the interview<process engineer electrical> where you meet the Operations Manager.
The experience was thrilling, as I have never had it like that b4.
They are quite organised and know what they want. Leadership potential is all they are after and a good repertoire of technical combo.
It doesnt end at the written interview which I must confess wasnt childs play, but with God all fings, they say, are possible. You then have to scale through a rigorous and vigorous 4 staged oral interview.
if you get to stage 4,where you get to meet the plant manager, you are as good as in.
There were HND holders who also applied and were shortlisted for the interview, even for internship<OND or Uni undergraduates>
The experience was insightful as I discovered new fings bout me and what aspirations I would walk towards.
Truly,I was surprised to see the same advertorial on their website, but all the same, I encourage anyone interested to apply, but personally,I fink it is a done deal.
Over 500 people I was told applied, and by Gods grace, we were just three left standing, and they needed one person in my discipline.
I left that interview a changed man.
P&G is truly one place to be.
In Benin, they'd say P&G SOFT DIE!!!!
goodluck<Jonathan> people
peace

Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
@davinchi, that's all good. But I'ld like to ask, what date did you meet the Plant Manager? and what is their offer (I mean Pay package for that position)?
Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
@davinchi, I'ld like to get a clarification from you: are you saying you have met the Plant Manager or you have only met the Operations Manager? cos I've also met the Operations Manager and waiting to finally meet the Plant Manager.
Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
Pls i will like to know the kind of questions u where asked for future preparations.pls reply
Thanks
Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
People, I got to the 3rd stage i said, where i met the operations manager. The stage after that would have been the 4th and final stage where i would have met the plant manager. and like i said,if you do meet the plant manager, you are as good as in.
as for remuneration, they treat first timers nice, I gathered they give up to 200 grand. and considering the standard of living in that part of the country, that is quite generous and awesome.
as for the questions, i really cant remember everyfing, but one scenario really had me dazed, I was asked to plot a graph of my CGPA from first year up to final year, with the CGPA on the Y axis and academic years on the x axis. It got me into a mild argument with the interviewer, but God saw me through it. they also asked some technical questions on power system engineering
lol, it was thrilling, i say, it was thrilling.
Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
@Oma100, prepare for general interview questions such as TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES?, WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS? etc.
There are some questions that I noticed were particularly asked by P&G. They include (but not limited to); TELL US ABOUT A TIME YOU WERE A RESOURCE PERSON OF A GROUP FOR A PROJECT.
TELL US ABOUT A TIME YOU TAUGHT SOMEONE HOW TO DO SOMETHING AND THE PERSON WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE RESULTS.
TELL US ABOUT A TIME YOUR ABILITY TO LISTEN PROPERLY HELPED YOU TO CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE ABOUT SOMETHING OR SEE SOMETHING FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE, etc.
Further questions will be taken from your responses to the previously asked questions.
They are biased towards LEADERSHIP.
Note that the questions might come in a different manner but all they want to find out is your approach to real life situations in which you might find yourself working in P&G. After the regular interview questions, you'll be asked some real life technical questions and you'll be asked to profer solutions.
At the end of the interview(s), you'll be given the opportunity to ask them any question(s). Make sure you ask reasonable & intelligent questions. If you don't have any reasonable one pls keep shut.
Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
@GZL: "real life technical questions" kindly expatiate.
Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
10x 4 d info. we can still try. who knows?
Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
@jebe2ng: I was particularly asked this question by the Operations Manager;
"I used my Generator at home last night after which I switched it off, but today I put it on and immediately I switched on Power my Gen went off by itself. This problem persists even after restarting the Gen. But whenever there's NEPA supply, there's no problem with my electrical system (i.e. I have light in my house whenever there's NEPA). What could be the problem?"
There were some other questions prior to that based on my previous responses.

@davinchi, pls I'ld like to get some further clarifications from you. From your quote, you said "...I would have met the Plant manager." Does this mean you are out of the race? Have you been contacted after the 3rd stage?
Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
@davinchi.. could u give some examples of the technical questions u were asked ... have a test on tuesday and need all the help i can get....... my email is [email protected]
Re: The Truth about the P&G job opening fingy
@kemito2001, there're no technical questions in the test. It's completely an aptitude test. It is when you scale thru the test stage that u can worry about likely technical questions.
