hi sammi long time, great S.P.E, pls send me your phone number or email so we can chat on facebook
u'r rite Sammie on the test format...House just stick to dat. The exercise is quite transparent. I came in tru that programme in 2007 and now works as an Assistant Driller. Its a gud Coy..wit soo much challenges.
@lerik, if you dont mind can you pls approximately state, how much a trainee rig surpervisor gets. I am asking because i will have to take a day off for the test from my busy work schedule. My current job pay is ok although I am onshore support engineer I wont want to pass up the opportunity to be on the field. What I am saying in essence is dat I will love to compare from your information if its worthwhile embarking on such venture.
which format do we stick to, Sammie is saying O level stuffs, Oilprince is saying Gmat. Can sme1 else comment on this pls.
Thanks to @Sammie and @oilPrince for their sincere contributions, no doubt their support we certainly be rewarded.
From information supplied by both honorable members, it is easy to deduce that @oilprince info is the most recent and the one which complies more with the current situation at hand. @oilprince said his was conducted in 2008 and by Brass consults and they are still currently handling the recruitment, while @Sammie said his was conducted in 2007 and by WAEC, it might be safe to say Transocean was more satified with the Brass consult/GMAT system.
Never the less to be on the safe side it is better to study both systems as one never can tell.
Stay Blessed.
@SAMMIE77 AND OIL PRINCE, DO BRASS RING ALLOW GATE CRASHING?
PLEASE NA THAT ONE BE MY OWN.
Bros. m not too sure if G' guys were allowed that year.
G.C. is usually by chance and sometimes luck.
however, if u "Live CLOSE" to a test center, U can give it a try.
and as regard your fate, only the circumstance & God know.
Sammie, oilprince and Godspeed....
Thanks a milll...
@ All : Please i want to know the address and venue of the Transocean exam in Lagos. Please, help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am waiting for your replies.
THE TEST IN 2008 WAS CHARACTERIZED BY HEAVY GATE CRASHING SO I THINK ITS POSSIBLE AGAIN THIS YEAR!!!
Thanks sammie ur tips has really proved useful.More power to your elbow and pockets.
For the record Sammie was right on spot.
The test is further outsourced to WAEC. There were three papers.
The papers were relatively cheap but timing was a different matter all together. No time!!
There was the Quantitative reasoning test 2 (QRT2), which consisted of a very cheap math section and a verbal section which any one could answer if given the time. but the time was not there.
Then there was the General Engineering questions (GET) which consisted of basic electronics, mechanics, and about 3/4 questions on operations management.
And finally there was the Verbal reasoning (not sure if that is right) This was mostly a series of comprehension passages to be answered in 20mins.
Some said after the test that the were similar to GRE question. I'm not sure about this tho.
