We have been waiting to hear from TOTAL since last year Oct. following the CIA test in Houston. I check my e-mail box countless times everyday, still no message from them.
Please, does anyone have useful information for the house?
I am also assuming the next stage should be medicals for us as well.
Lolliba, Just Keep Kul. I understand hw u feel, but I can tell u reliably that some candidates in your set (October 2011) Drilling/Completions/Wellhead/Christmas-trees who received the same email (… … in the coming months) where invited 4 technical interview in May during the just concluded Global Careers Event in London and r yet to receive any feedback. The recruitment is in batches according to disciplines/Total’s immediate needs. Some candidates who took aptitude test in 2010 and received +ve responses have not been called up. Remember some candidates had been sent rejection mails before those who receive +ve feedbacks, so just keep kul. I know guys are anxious in circumstances like this.

@ Ekenuelz: Did u take ur test in London or Houston? I haven't received any mails from Total recently, although I wrote my test in Houston- Sept 2011.
The last e-mail I received was in Oct 2011- Stating:
We thank you for your interest in
TOTAL
We, at TOTAL E&P Nigeria Ltd., are pleased to inform you of
your selection to proceed to the next stage of our recruitment
process.
We will keep you informed about this next stage of the
recruitment process in the coming months.
Please, did you receive the above e-mail at any point?

Re: Total e & p nigeria limited interview update
@loliba, I did get that mail like a month, I mean the one about progressing to the next stage. However the sent a new one on Monday asking me for my current location.
I did my test and interview in London, this year, in May.
I guess they sent me that mail cos during my interview I informed them I was relocating from London back to Nigeria.

Good day Ekenuelz and Paraprosdokian.
If you don't mind me asking, what position are you in the recruitment process for? Is it a Graduates/Experienced position and what field is it in?
-
Re: Total e & p nigeria limited interview update
@RepB; I've done just a test and an interview. The position wasn't specified, ie grad/exp, it was a career fair thingy, during the interview after the test, they just ask you what dept u think u would fit into and then then rain down the questions from there.
-
Re: Total e & p nigeria limited interview update
I got thesame email requesting for my current location. Wrote my test and interview during the October 2011 CIA in London and was interviewed for the position of a Drilling Engineer

Congratulations it means you guys have made it to the next stage.Unlike the interview which was done in Houston,London and Nigeria .Presentation is normally done in Nigeria hence the need your address to evaluate your transportation package. Please do sent me a PM when you receive your mail ok.

I don't think they requested for my current location so as to be able to evaluate our transport package. They wanted to know the best interview location that suits me. I have been invited to Paris for the Psychology interview towards the end of August.

Do they intend on reimbursing traveling expenses incurred?

I doubt that because I have sent them an email about my flight and hotel accommodation but did not get a response, so the trip is at my own expense

They wanted me to come to London but I told them I cannot come because I am not currently in the UK but still in one of the other EU countries so we settled for France

Yea! I did Consultant Interview towards end of last year, after which they send me mail that I passed, and will invite me for the next stage in 'coming months'. Uptill today I've not heard from them. The 'coming months' will soon turn to 'coming years'... Lol.
Well the simple secret about the consultant interview is TRUTHFULNESS. The questions are:
1. Computer-based personnality qustions. - (somehow psychological). Here you need to be very truthful to yourself. Even if they ask you whether you are a 'Thief', and you know you are a thief, Just say 'Yes'. If you are a drunkard and they asked whether you 'hangover' sometimes, just answer 'yes'. You will not be penalized for giving yes to a negative attitude; but will be penalized for lying.
2. About two common interview questions - like 'Describe your typical work week'. Tis will be written on a plain paper which they will provide for you. answer has to be as brief as possible.
3. Spatial Arrangement. This time neither on paper nor with computer. They will give you some cubes (physical cubes) to play with. This is quite interesting, for Game Lovers - but very psycological.
4. They will give you some abstract things to sketch - this is also very psychological, and this is only where you are required to be very fast in sketching those things.
5. Little oral questions, which will require you to locate any place you mention in a map they will provide to you. The map is just a comprehensive world map that contains all localities, including my village. If you said you did your primary education in 'your village'. Behold, 'your village' will be somewhere in the map.
6. That's all. Cheers and good luck!
