Breaking News!!!!
Total is inviting most guys that had their test in October 2011 at the Careers in Africa London summit to Nigeria for Medicals and Final interview and presentation simultaneously in January 2012.
Let us all be watchful of our email and as well be hopeful.
God bless
Are you saying there will not be the psychology interview this time? Its kind of strange to me if they will be that fast with those interviewed in London for the October CIA summit because a couple of people I know that were successful in the interview conducted in the London CIA May 2011 and Houston September summit are yet to get an email from Total for the final stage you're talking about, so it will be good if you can share more light on your information.
Thank you

Bro please confirm for the house which skillset has been called because I can confirm that Experienced Instrument and Project Engineers were called from Houston to naija to do medicals and line manager interview about three weeks back.
Now, this skillset category had already done a line manager interview but were told they had to do it again in naija bcos the expert concerning their skillset was not present in Houston to interview them.
Please confirm Doziem. Thanks!

Re: Total e & p nigeria limited interview update
I guess this implies that only the tests were conducted in London.
The stages in Houston were as follows;
- Aptitude Test
- Interview with external Consultant
- Interview with HR and Line Manager together ( in my case this was the maintenance supervisor at AKPO )
- Occupational personality questionnaires
Besides the the email which indicated that we would be contacted in coming months, nothing else has been said. What should we expect as far this is concerned...

Re: Total e & p nigeria limited interview update
Guys please I do not mean to confuse anyone.
These set of guys have already done the psychology interview in Oxford UK.
They have just been recently contacted about their success in the interviews, and the next mail from Total for them was meds in naija followed by line managers.
I already know three peeps in this category.
Think their skill set is Contract Engineers.
As for the guys that did the CIA Houston, they did not actually do the full line managers interviews as they did not do any presentation and also the panel was incomplete (only one or two managers present). Full panel consists of four or five managers (HR inclusive).
If there are any other queries, I will be glad to respond to them.

Not really Doziem, guys in Houston have completed all what you indicated and even completed an online psychology test. My line interview was made up of 3 managers (HR inclusive). I know some guys in Houston who had 5 to 6 managers for their interview. It doesn't add up o...or is this particular to this skillset?
Thanks!

Just to clarify, let me summarize what I did in the recruitment process (I have about 4 yrs experience)
(a) Initial Interview
(b) Aptitude test
(c) Line Mgr interview
(d) Psychology interview
(e) About 2 weeks later, completed an online personality test.
Some guys guys with no experience
(a) Initial Interview
(b) Aptitude test
(c) Technical Test
(d) Technical Interview
(e) Line Mgr interview
(f) Psychology interview
(g) About 2 weeks later, completed an online personality test.
The line interview was 5 to 6 managers, however on the last day, the managers divided into two groups of 3 managers each.
I dont know if there is still another stage apart from those listed? Please share if there is.
Thanks!

I perfectly understand what you are saying.
I think presentation in the line manager Interviews is crucial in Total recruitment.
Also most of the guys that were interviewed in Houston before the CIA had experience.
They only had the technical test because Total per arranged it for them.
Some times it forms part of the recruitment process.
The info stated earlier is so real. It might be another recruitment campaign entirely different from the one in Houston or the other CIA.in london June 2011

I left this out in the last post.
I think if you have done presentation, then you should be waiting for your meds email soon

Just to clarify again.
Some guys had interview just before the CIA Houston commenced and had complete line manager panel and presentation.
The guys that later did interview in the CIA proper did interview without presentation and also with fewer managers.
Pls note these two categories and the differences

I did my interview on 16th sept.2011 in Port harcourt with external consultant, but yet to hear from them. I do not understand again. May be they are concentrating on those that did theirs abroad first. I don't believe they have abandoned naija residents, as long as we have not received rejection emails.
HOPEFUL DUDE! STRONG!!

From my experience bro,
(a) Make sure you can explain everything on your CV
(b) Ensure that the position you are gunning for is supported by your education and work experience. For example, a chemical engineer will not be accepted in reservoir engineering, they will prefer him in process engineering.
(c) Be truthful, they will ask you the same question is 3 different ways. One key question they ask is: Why do you want to work for Total? Please don't overlook this question...study about how the organisation is setup and develop ideas on what attracts you most.
(d) The HR person will ask you how much you want to be paid....my advise is never mention an amount!
(e) Answer questions as directly as possible, don't go around in circles.
(f) They are definitely going to ask you technical questions on the position you are gunning for so see if you have base knowledge
This is definitely not all, but I guess it will help you man!
Cheers

@GideonyteI think the US and June London recruitment campaign was for a project TOTAL is kicking off. However, the last UK campaign in October 2011 and the Nigerian campaign in September are probably to fill up most of their PH operations vacancy because some of the guys have been invited for contracts engineer position (like engineers that work in supply chain and procurement). So, they will always send out the invites in batches. This means that they will send to the US guys and the June UK guys almost at the same time and I think its gonna be soon.Have a nice day.

Yeah Its the Egina project.

Re: Total e & p nigeria limited interview update
@DOZIEM
I may disagree with your speculation as the invitation for the CIA events in October clearly speculated that most of the roles they were recruiting for were mainly Egina project and partly Akpo. I participated in the recruitment and I can say that e-mails were sent out at almost the same time with those who had theirs in the US.
I am sure they are going to harmonize all disciplines with regards to the requirements of the department you applied to. You might be surprised that this will even be done with those who took their test in September at Nigeria. Even some of those in Nigeria said they were told they were being recruited for the Egina. US UK or Nigeria there is drive for the forthcoming Egina project which is still at the FEED stage. YOU degree and probably qualification may now distinguish though.
As it stands nobody knows fully what is going on.

@OlainHIM..... Why disagree when you are not sure of what is going on.TOTAL have different needs and as such have different recruitment campaigns.
-
Re: Total e & p nigeria limited interview update
@DoziemThanks for your last post as it helped clarified things a lot to me. TOTAL has different business needs as such no recruitment campaign may be tagged to a particular project. Your deal with them will be determined by what you were told during the recruitment and evolving business needs. The earlier post was a bit confusing because I am sure of the information made available to me during the October CIA events.Anyhow thanks a lot man. All the best
