i applied for inspection engineer

I asked a fellow about the recruitment for last year and he said that recruitment started in september 2010 and employment letters were sent out prior to April 2011. It seems ours may likely be the same, although i love it to be quicker...

Did the fellow have to do a supposed panel interview/presentation?

Sure he did...I believe its standard procedure for the recruitment. I really don't know the timing of his interviews but what I got was he started work in April. I do suspect a February 2012 timeline for the next stage...just a hunch.

i contacted one of their staff and they confirmed to me that they will contact us once the campagn in Nigeria begins but at the moment nothing is happening. so i don't think there will be anything in Nigeria this year till next year from what i gathered.

pre-empolyment medical test has alreedy been conducted for those who passed

@matozim which campaign is the pre medical test ongoing for am sure it is not for nigerian campaign, can you be more clearer

has anybody for process/flow assurance engineer from CIA london been contacted ?....i'm still waiting for my invite

Bros matozm, I don't understand your comment. It was more generalistic rather than specific. For sure you know Total has different campaigns and different people are in different stages.

So it will be worthwhile if you state the campaign you were involved in, and when you had your interviews/ location.

Hello Goodluck82, when you say Total is recruiting again, do you mean they are starting afresh or they are continuing with people in the process.

Guys let me break the Total E&P interview stages for you all. So we know where we are.
1. Aptitude Test
2. First HR interview to decide your position (optional)
3. Professional Discipline Test (optional)
4. Psychology (online and face to face)
5. Presentation
6. Line Managers and Final HR interview.
7. Medicals
8. Offer

FYI Stages 5 and 6 will be referred to as Final Panel and might happen in any order.
Also all these process happen in different places in the world and might take different forms (London, Nigeria, Paris, Houston)

I want to ask,if during your interview,you were given employment form to fill...

Yes during the interview I had, I was given an employment form and my certificates were verified. I have not heard this in the forum but I want to comment that we were requested to complete the normal Total application online earlier and during the interview, the managers were really looking at the application form, my resume and directing questions in that regard.

Well, some times the stages vary and might not follow sequentially as you listed.
Like for mine, I applied for Project Engineer OLT Bouy. I've had Aptitude Test and have met The Consultant Ocupational Psychologist (all in Nigeria). The HR Guy in-charge and also the Consultant, told us that the stages are as follows:
1. Aptitude Test
2. Meeting Consultant Occupational Psychologist.
3. Meeting with your Line.
4. Meeting with HR.
5. Pre-Employment Medical.

so, yours might be different depending on the recruitment programme you are going through.

PLEASE IF THERE IS ANYONE THAT APPLIED FOR PROJECT ENGINEER OLT BOUY WHO HAS A CONTRARY INFO, LET HIM/HER SHARE!

It seems nigeria campaign for those who wrote exam in Ph and lag on 20th an 27th Aug.and had their interview with consultant at the middle of sept.shld be expecting an invitation anytime frm now to meet line manager and HR.Goodluck.

I heard some folks that went through the Houston recruitment (sept 2011) already did medicals and have offers....
Can anyone attest to that?

I went through the Houston recruitment in September 2011. I haven't done any medical and neither have been offered any job.

Just got an email: today

We, at TOTAL E&P Nigeria Ltd., are pleased to inform you of your selection to proceed to the next stage of our recruitment process.

Madam ebynutcie,
TOTAL E&P believes in Diversity... cultural, religious, GENDER, etc. So being a lady might just work in your favor. Ladies are being employed for positions that have been tagged "male" position in the past. eg well site geologist, which is an off shore location job. This is because the company is committed to gender diversity and equal opportunity for all. I think that should comfort you. TEPNG now have a lady as an Executive Director, the first women in a while now.(not sure if they ever had one before). TEPNG don't rush their recruitment process, so you might have to be very patient!

Breaking News!!!!
Total is inviting most guys that had their test in October 2011 at the Careers in Africa London summit to Nigeria for Medicals and Final interview and presentation simultaneously in January 2012.

Let us all be watchful of our email and as well be hopeful.
