I have a couple questions.. Are all dis positions direct employments or its gonna involve a couple of months training like d Operator Trainees position. I am from CIA London October 2011, Psychology in Paris August 2012 and have been waiting ever since. I have the final panel interview left but no info from Total yet after the email sent in May 2013 about updating CV on their website.Quote:

@ProDafe, i'm a CIA 2011 petroleum engineering candidate and I still have no word from Total. I only hear that people have resumed, are resuming or are about to resume....no be small thing.

You should be very prayerful at this point.Those who received offer letters are:
Geosciencist and Reservoir Engineers,
Drilling and Completion Engineers.
Who are subsurface professionals if you are in this category may GOD help you but if you are for surface i.e
Facilities and Maintenance Engineers etc. Yours would definately come in Q2 this year.
I am only aware of two (2) Reservoir Engineers who got their offer letters recently. They have completed all the processes including medical since 2011. I understand that one of them is offered on contract while the other is regular. I spoke with a Geologist (in TOTAL) and she told me that no geologist has come in since January 2011 when her batch resumed. Also, invite for FPI will soon be sent out for those that are yet to do theirs. If you have not got rejection email, don't lose hope. Let's just be patient and prayerful.

Total E&P Nigeria Ltd (Total), the operator of the NNPC/Total Joint Venture,
has received a notice of non-compliance with the Nigerian Content Act, issued
by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB)
against Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) a contractor on the NNPC/Total Joint
Venture’s Ofon-2 project.
Contrary to some recently published media reports, the Board has not now
and did not at any time, make a request or issue an instruction that the Ofon-2
project be shut down.
Furthermore, the media report suggesting that there are only two Nigerians
working for HHI on the Ofon-2 project is incorrect. There are over one
hundred Nigerians currently working for HHI, which is just one of the
Contractors on the Ofon-2 project.
Total will be meeting with HHI and NCDMB to ensure a timely and satisfactory
resolution of the issues raised by the NCDMB notice.
The Total Group operates in over 130 countries around the world and we and
all contractors working for us are required to carry out all operations in a
diligent and professional manner and in full compliance with, and respect for,
all national laws and regulations.
Yes it is possible as RESERVOIR ENGINEERS are needed to monitor on-going production wells. However, Geologists, and Geophysicst will be needed for the development phase of the field which have not started yet
These would be contract staffs not full-time staffs. Full-time staffs are paid according the group scale so I don't see the reason for them to protest (Full-Staffs). I hope they resolve these things ASAP.
It's not hear say, my friends. The issue is a sensitive one and is not related to the NCDMB report. The paradox of employing and firing at the same time only reveals that an IOC is not a straight line equation. What's important for us on this forum is really how this affects the recruitment process and I was hoping someone else could provide informed comments.

This applies contract TEPNG's staffs. This category of workers didn't apply through their website.The full-time staffs to which most of us belongs have a fix salary scale with Total Group for instance if you are a junior maintenance engineer you have the same salary with someone bearing the same title in the US,Angola etc.
So they are not easily fined. Currently they are just about 3100 nation-wide.
What you wrote about Total salary being fixed world wide is not true. We do not need to argue because I am 100% sure. Salaries in Total Nigeria is much more than the salary you get in Europe and America except you have an expat contract.Quote:
