I understand how you feel in fact we all feel the same way. However, it may interest you to know that the rumour is not out of place. What the message simply implies is that recruitment would be concluded Q3 this year with means we still have August and September remaining. As a matter of fact,I know the Drilling and by implication Geosciences and Reservoir program would start Q4 this year. Let just wait from now still September and see what happens. Least I forget the recruitment is very real.
I see they started another recruitment. The position I applied for is not there. Fingers crossed.
Any update on the Egina project?
The project has already kicked off. Hence the recent drive to recruit experienced experts to run the project. Anyone with update with regards to the suspended recruitment campaign? Seems to be taking a long time.
They are going to call us very soon, lets keep the forum alive.

Nobody is saying anything as regard the ongoing recruitment, I have a strong confidence that they will call us very soon.

I jst did an aptitude test wt Total and am very sure of a call-up 4 d next stage.D Total guys said d next stage wil b a technical test, n wil b done in a forthnight.Am @loss as to d structure n nature of ds technical test. Pls, I wud nid sm1 to help clear d air on ds query of mine.

As you already know,due to the late signing of Egina contract, Recruitment activities was put on hold by TOTAL.It was just the previous quarter when I think that the authorization was give to the HR team to continue with the recruitment hence the adverts we saw in August.Quote:

I know the supply of subsea trees and wellheads, manifolds, installation tooling, flowline connection systems, and associated control systems by FMC will be starting in 2015. Which means Drilling and Completion activities will be already on, While the Construction and Project activites for engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning of 52km of oil production and water injection flow lines, 12 flexible jumpers, 20km of gas export pipelines, 80km of umbilicals and mooring and offloading systems will continue till 2017 when production of the field commences.This is the reason they are recruiting PRODUCTION OPERATORS.
Also do not forget the experience positions they put on advert sometime around august most of these guys will be our lines manager. Recruitment will definitely start in 2014 but I cannot tell you when.

@coolguy, what is the next stage like? and does it mean we might resume next year by God's grace.
In addition to what coolguy has said, the pending recruitment process is also targeted at the OFON phase 2 project initially expected to see first oil in 2014, but may now be delayed by a year. So its possible that some people may resume earlier, most notably the HND/OND guys (for operator positions) who will be trained starting next year. The delay in the recruitment process is not only due to the delay in the projects but also due to some 'in-house' issues that need to be dealt with. There are vacancies that need to be filled asap on older assets but have also been caught up by the issue. In summary, keep being happy with the other things you are doing, and thank God if/when this pulls through.... Blessings!

It seems to me that the street-smart faith of some of our ND/HND guys is thumping the pedagogical analysis of why Total has/will not called us until 2017 as some of you guys seem to insinuate.

Yes, I got the invitation abt a week to the test and the test was on 6th Dec.
