TOTAL E & P calling for personality test through dragnet

For real it really beats me when some people ask some kinda questions or say some kinda things...u applied for a job, got an invitation for a test for an Oil coy wt code TOT, knowing fully well dt there is no oil coy that has d TOT code except total...and wen u r gvn a code for an exam e.g GSK, FMN,SoN, u know d coy...dts y the alphabetic code is dere and u once applied for a job position there and probably have forgotten.downstream or upstream doesnt matter...i didnt apply for TOTAL,my sister did..bt i am shocked at how some r stil confused even wt many pple makin emphasis to TOTAL...i am sayn thins for dose yet to write...know at d back f ur mind that its TOTAL, go there wt determination n nt just assume its just any oil coy n GET UR JOB with confidence. We nigerians have long past d point of being too secretive about a Job..cos d pple workin in dragnet r nigerians dt also hv friends and as humans dey have also told dem in 'secret' that its TOTAL....goodluck Y'allll...

Some did interview with TOTAL staff and some passed the test but waiting for interview. Please there are two things going on..
1) direct recruitment from TOTAL (CIA, IPS, PH center and houston candidates)
2) a recruitment to an OIL/GAS company by dragnet...I aslo pray is TOTAL

Please this is an hypothesis not a fact. You Need to read this .
I believe i figure out why the name of the recruiter is just Oil and Gas and nothing more.
I was discussing this test and interview with a friend in Lagos.
He replied that a friend of ours which i know very well got a job with a bank just like that without any disclosure of the real bank name.
Truly they resume at that suspected bank but they resume as contract staff and earn less that half what the actual staffs were earning.
He said although they work in the same environment and enjoy the same working condition but that the difference was just in the pay and their ID type.
Please note: A contract staff doesn't have the same benefit as the real staff. They are usually group under umbrella of a named company and they will be treated as if they are just rendering services to the real company(Not usually allow to form union etc).
Well that might be what we need to move into a full staff and becoming part of the organization.
If you don't like this deal then like me we hope my friend is wrong.

@Billy I hope you are wrong, but from the profiles of those called there are those with master degrees and others with working expirience, so why would they invite those to leave a permanet paying job to be a contract staff?

I only gave them one copy of my CV. As for the interview you'll be given time to sell yourself as fit for a position, and then you'll be asked two to three questions from your CV

@Kaduna, read other pples post on their interview experience, Amakanwa, kainos and myself have already given feedback . check previous pages. Bombalusca, I studied i did an engineering course and was invited. but i must confess that the ratio of engineers to social scientistists called for interview is about 1:10 (from my own observation). I only met 2 engineers among all the people gathered at the reception on the day i did my interview.

Those who are doing today,tomorrow and 22nd, pls dont fail to comment here on your observation and feedback. best of luck

Yeah it seemed the number of engineering candidates was not as much as other disciplines. Wonder why though, fingers crossed waiting for the next stage

I wonder why only very few engineers were selected for interview. Afterall, oil and gas coys are engineering based. I studied elect eng. and was not invited. Pls, all those that wil be interviewed on feb 21/22 should inquire why the engineers were so few. Lets hear from the horse's mouth.

Please do the interviewers require our credentials both original and photocopy?

@kaduna2, I learnt u need to go wit a copy of ur cv. When is ur interview and what's ur discipline?

@augustinecu, my interview date is 22nd in Abuja and my discipline is Economics. My question is that do I need to carry all my credentials as I dont have them with me here in Kaduna. If i must show them it means I have to travel

@kaduna2, from what Buma2 said, they only collected one CV. So, u don't need to go with ur certificate. Just go with a CV. If u don't have a CV, u should prepare one immediately. Pls when u get to the venue of d interview, ask them why they selected very few engineers and if they are stil going to invite engineers again for the interview. Thanks and best of luck!

copies of your credentials i mean.you should have scanned them n put in ur box so if u cnt get the originals @ least u can present something when asked

what i'd like to know is if they'll still be sending invites n when it'll end cos guys, na wa o!could anybody find out for those of us who haven't gotten an invite but hoping in earnest!

@all invited and havent been interviewed, please go with your cv and ur TOT id number. I did mine on saturday and i had many engineering friends there that were also invited. It was a short one and i am sure 80% of those interviewed will scale through to the next stage. wish everyone luck. we will get there.

Talking about few engineers, i blame it on the engineering skill test,anytime i sit for general engineering test,it is always focused on what i call "workshop technology". Possibly, the science guys did better in the test. Dragnet should be held responsible for the ratio of engineers and other disciplines...however it
is not confirmed yet that there are less engineers. From what I can gather, I do believe this recruitment is for TOtal downstream...so it wont be suprising to find other disciplines more than engineers based on their current operations. I am engineer and was invited. lets hope for the best.

I think we should stop speculating and just leave the rest in God's hands.

For me I am a pure scientist and the guys that met me there were social science students. So please nobody says its an engineering stuff. They even asked, what section of the organization do you think you will want to work? I juxtaposed by background with my knowledge of the oil and gas industry, simple. Dropped my cv and left. God who started the good work, am trusting to finish and perfect it according to His will.

I will like to say it is not by power, neither is it by might.......
I went prepared got there, started talking and my saliva dried up, my brain feels empty and i couldn't utter a word anymore.
I was looked at by my interviewers with a smile of like is that all you have got.
I know i have God working things out somewhere if it is his will for me to be there i will make it till the end.
I thank God for every thing and i wish all of us success in this.
I pray whatever happens should be to his glory and will.

okay guyz, dragnet is done with caling for interview. i pickup the courage and caalled them. there is no other batch. so lets quit brooding and move on

Its an interview, just try to sell yourself to the panel. D̶̲̥̅̊σ you expect Billy to reproduce exactly what he was asked in there. People have been sharing tips since the interview started. That's an unnecessary request if you ask me

Its the same thing. I was asked to talk about myself and then I was asked to speak on how i can be useful to them

did mine today at Abj it was ok. Just personal interview tell us about your self and other bla....bla.... We have done our own part hoping for God's favour to be called to the next stage..see you guys at the next stage.

I guess the interview is over. We thank God for seeing us through. We should be expecting response in a weeks time. The person that interviewed me actually told me that we will get back to you by next week.

I probably would have seen U guys! Hafeez, Kaduna2! See U all @ da next stage if God wills.
