Topic: SRD Invitation

I wish I am alot more confident for the interview.

House, Pls can some one figure out why some were called for Local Government confirmation and others were not. This I am begining to think is delebrate. Just 4 members of my group have been contacted so far.

I am of the opinion that if they called these people to ask for their LGA then chances are they forgot to write it in the section provided on the form or why would they call them for just that piece of info when they could have easily checked that on the forms they initially filled? Did you fill in your own LGA in the form provided? If you did then most likely the other guys being contacted forgot to write theirs hence the reason for that call.

Hi guys, drop the fear and look onto GOD.

I had a long and friendly conversation with the Shell lady.She authoritatively told me the following.

1. As at 2 days back, NOBODY has been contacted based on their success/failure in the SRD and no contact will be made even by next week. The SRD must be completed, candidates graded and management sit on graded scores before any decision can be made.

2.That she was reluctant at 1st to start calling people for community because she knows people will start to panic.Anyway, she said dont panic, they at shell are praying that as much that was invited for SRD should make it to medicals.
The on-going call has no connection with your grade in the SRD, it is not a Niger Delta thing and everyone who has done SRD so far will be called/contacted.

So, let us all pray to God for his grace bcos only His grace can see us through to Shell learning village as Shell staff.

Has anyone thought about the recent call for SRD sent to some people who were earlier rejected?

I am thinking that the performance so far has issue and they are trying to get more to make up their requirements.

@ jpp, well their are a lot of reasons why they are calling more people,
1. maybe some of the candidates so far have performed below standard
2.some of the candidates invited earlier had not shown up
3.maybe they have decided to invite more people cos they need more trainees

On the average, i think Shell still recruits more trainees than Total and Exxon combined. It doesn't matter to me that those other two pay their new staff more than Shell does but I think a program like SITP is the way to go for all these producing companies in order to create more chances for graduates...jut my own observation anyway, i apologise for diverting away from the main topic of the forum.

@ Dexter, yes they do! Their pay is also as fantastic as the others just considering the fact that they have more staff than the other oil producing organizations in Nigeria.

Hopefully calls for medicals will occur before end of next month
