I had my SRD today and I must confess those SHELL assessors are amongst the smartest peole i have ever met.very professional.word of advice:if you have not had your SRD yet please prepare hard especially for your technical presentation as those guys probably will understand your project much more than you thought

Hiya, received a call today asking for confirmation of my LGA and hometown, as well as the topic of my presentation. I had my SRD last week.

Did any1 receive a similar call?

@P4E : i ve been tryin to avoid this SHELL thingy since d heartbreak of losing out on a fabulous dream. But thanks for always askin about my whereabout... I ve kinda painfully moved on, i ve a PwC interview next wk.... So it's kinda like God's way of consoling me i feel..

@jpp- i 'd appreciate it alot if you can identify dat monstrous person in dis great house. Bcos to deceive a fellow house mate is to say d least annoyin.. It's beta to keep shut than misinform ppl. Such ppl should be banish from mankind and humanity... It's so primitive to think that's the way to get d job ahead of others... Anyway congrats on not takin every info hook line and sinker.... A lesson for us all neva take any info wholeheartedly, it affected me recently... Always maintain an open mind....

Hi guys, thanx for the kind msgs. However, I heard Nkoyo say to me that she was having to call every1 who did SRD to get this info from them as these questions were omitted in the forms we were given to fill on the day. I believe that many more people will be called today IJN. Guys pls declare if you've been called oh!

I rcvd the call at 6.58pm ystdy so I kinda felt that she'd been calling guys the whole day and only just got to me.

I had mine on the 5th.

@all, it is well, the Lord that started this good work in our lives will be faithful to complete it.

@those who just got called up, congrats. Im sure u hav enuf info as to wot to expect on the day. Read the info pack wellu wellu and b confident and comport urself well. Even if na rubbish u de yarn, yarn am with confidence. :) :)

@all that have been called by fone to ask for communities, I dnt think it is everybody that's being called. I had my SRD on the 29th and was called 2 days later. 4 out of 8 in my group were called (to the best of my knowledge).
I'd be cautious to draw any conclusion on the call but wld say we should still keep all hopes alive.

I was called to confirm my village and my project topic too. I think they're calling everyone.

I can confirm that the call was made to those who did their SRD in Warri or in Lagos and that so far the call has not been made to everyone who did SRD.
Like I said, 4 out of 8 persons in my group were called. I also kno same of a friend's group. Lets jus stay calm and not draw conclusions frm the calls.

@positivethinker, u r very correct. I honestly dont no how much we can deduce from the phone call. I got the feeling that every1 was goin to be called from the brief conv I had with Nkoyo but I dunno sha. God is on the throne!

I had mine in Lagos.

Guys, i suggest some who make others aprehensive should catch some brakes. the form dat was given on d SRD to fill ur state of origin and tick d certificates u brought did nt ve space for local government area/community. My form had community written with biro (others might bare witness) n 1 of d accessors clearly pointed it out 4 me so i dont skip it. Am sure many did nt fill dat place hence they were called so the accessors can fill it for them. We should all relax. Enjoy d moment.

@Impish and Positivethinker, I had mine on the 7th and have not been contacted yet on any Local government authentification. Does it mean something not very positive? :(

@ bazo, sorry to contradict u. I filled in my community details too. I also kno ppl who submitted copies of their LG ID, yet got called. I still insist, the calls may not have any bearing on the outcome of the exercise and advice no 1 shld lose slp on it.
On anoda note, I jus got whiff that rejection mails have started going round. Can we get a confirmation?

well SRD is still on, so i dont think calling or not receiving a call from them is really a big issue. Just Imagine those who Gate crash and got a call from them, thinkin there is great hope, not knowing they were filling their database. Well i Pray For Good Result and God's Favour on Us ALL. CHEERS

has anyone gotten invitation for srd for 19th in port harcourt?

I guess next week should be the final week for the SRD assessement or was there anyone invited on a date after the 23rd?

House, Pls can some one figure out why some were called for Local Government confirmation and others were not. This I am begining to think is delebrate. Just 4 members of my group have been contacted so far.

I am of the opinion that if they called these people to ask for their LGA then chances are they forgot to write it in the section provided on the form or why would they call them for just that piece of info when they could have easily checked that on the forms they initially filled? Did you fill in your own LGA in the form provided? If you did then most likely the other guys being contacted forgot to write theirs hence the reason for that call.

Hi guys, drop the fear and look onto GOD.

I had a long and friendly conversation with the Shell lady.She authoritatively told me the following.

1. As at 2 days back, NOBODY has been contacted based on their success/failure in the SRD and no contact will be made even by next week. The SRD must be completed, candidates graded and management sit on graded scores before any decision can be made.

2.That she was reluctant at 1st to start calling people for community because she knows people will start to panic.Anyway, she said dont panic, they at shell are praying that as much that was invited for SRD should make it to medicals.
The on-going call has no connection with your grade in the SRD, it is not a Niger Delta thing and everyone who has done SRD so far will be called/contacted.

So, let us all pray to God for his grace bcos only His grace can see us through to Shell learning village as Shell staff.

Has anyone thought about the recent call for SRD sent to some people who were earlier rejected?

I am thinking that the performance so far has issue and they are trying to get more to make up their requirements.
