I hereby confirm that medicals IV have started rolling in. I jus saw mine. PRAISE THE LORD!
Positivethinker Congrats! This is the news we have all been waiting for!
Oh, I forgot to add, what date is your medicals and what's your discipline? Also, what day did you have your SRD?
@positive thinker: At last!!! (Now I think I can officially break my code of silence for so long) Congrats my guy. Could you also please confirm if there was any change in your status page on the Shell website.
Only wemustmakeit's statement seems accurate out of all the "confirmed info from reliable source" updates. So let's keep on waiting for the remaining few weeks to get our own invites for those of us who are yet to receive.Quote:

@dexter: I jus checked my status and its still "Final assessment". My medicals is on Monday 30th.
@positivethinker,
Congrats bro.
But please, what's ur discipline and your state of origin?
I hope u guys understand that I have to refrain frm giving out further personal info. I doubt if discipline or state of origin has got anything to do wit it. I believe the IVs are in batches. Keep thinking positively.Quote:

LETS BE HOPEFUL, I BELIEVE ITS IN BATCHES.
LESS I FORGET SOMEONE FROM MY GROUP JUST GOT HIS TOO.
GOD IS IN CONTROL
Thanx possitivethinker for the info. I understand your not wanting to divulge more info.
@sandok, what discipline was your group for and when was your srd? Again, its ok if you cant give out info. TIA!
congrats positivethinker. a big congratulations once again.
@ IMPISH THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR HIDING INFORMATION THAT COULD SIMPLY BE OF HELP.
IT WAS FOR CIVIL ENGINEERS AND WE DID OURS ON THE 28TH OF JUNE.
Another question again for sandok and positive thinker: Where did you guys do your SRDs? Warri or Lagos?
Just informed that more will be called shortly and it may last till thurdays. Anyway some may be on hold and others rejected.
is this from an insider?Quote:

@all, its best not to start all dis insider info again. My discipline is Civil Engr, and I av an Electrical Engr colleague who got the invite. We r both not frm Bayelsa. Jus be expectant. I doubt if the IVs are based on discipline or state of origin considerations
@Positivethinker
Please where did you have your SRD and when
I can confirm that only Bayelsa, Kano, Edo, Anambra and Kogi participants have been called. :) At least I know one person from these states who have gotten an invite.
Hi all. I just got a rejection mail now. My discipline is Elect./Elect and Im not a Niger deltan. I wish the rest of you guys all the best!
Oh no! impish! Dunno what else to say bro but to keep your head up. Better things are coming your way if you choose to stay positive. Now on the other end, I don't see any reason why Shell would keep all waiting for so long when they could have easily sent out the rejection mail first like they used to do before now.Quote:

Like i predicted, there would be mixed feelings here. i love the spirit of impish and wemustmakeit. u guys wld be greatly rewarded soon. And as i said earlier, there is no need for the victorious to say it out. This wld make others feel bad in a way. Please, remember to give thanks and do some charity.
God is FAITHFUL.
@kente101: your use of the word 'victorious' shows the problem. It was neither a battle nor war. The fact that anyone feel bad serves to show them that they valued the opportunity. I feel it is even good to let it out, as it'll make it easier to move on anyway...
People,please continue to let us know responses, it has been helpful. For those who passed, congrats. For those who didn't, take heart. From the lack of sleep I got last night, I canonly imagine how a negative response would ruin my mood..
I got a rejectiomn Letter from Shell yesterday after being on the waiting list for more than one year.Its been an eventful year,and i want to appreciate the most high God for preserving my life till date. i wish all successful candidates the very best & the rejected ones the grace to pick up their lives and forge ahead.
One love
@mopol007: Thanks a lot for opening up but I must say that was totally not fair to you. From what you have said I think that there would be no waiting list this year...only acceptance or rejection.
@Og2711: Same over here too bro except that my anxiety is based on optimism. What I would really appreciate from the successful candidates in the house is not just to post that they have received their medical IV letters, that sort of information does not help anyone except that you are just bent on showing off or gloating.
GUYS PLEASE ENDEAVOUR TO POST WHEN AND WHERE YOU DID YOUR SRD SO OTHERS COULD HAVE AN IDEA OF WHEN TO EXPECT THEIRS.!
From the discussion so far, one can conclude that the IV’s are sent according to discipline. Is it a good one if I say only applicants with electrical, civil and petroleum degrees have gotten responses? :-\
@ them chief: what are you always postulating? And the postulation no dey ever get head. I know a chemical and mechanical recipient each.
I think its a little late for such. For now its either positive or negative!
@og2711
Pls whr did you have your SRD and when.
Na wa o. See as u attack me self. You know this shell stuff has giving rise to BP of very high magnitude. Anyway, man just dey type things so that thinking no go kill am bo.Quote:

@isiah 5:8 : on the 23rd of july in port harcourt..
finally finally, the awaited has landed.
to all the successful, Congrat.
and for the rest of us still on employment waiting list, God will make a way for us.
My country people,
It is with a broken heart that I post this message. Just got my rejection letter some minutes ago. I was so positive that I was going to get into SITP.
On the other hand, life is a lesson and we learn every single day. I'm glad I can now focus my energy on one job (at least for the next two years). I'm glad I even had the oppurtunity to be part of the SRD. Like someone said, if you made it to SRD, you can make it in the job search thingy.
To all the successful people, CONGRATS!!
My SRD was on the 1st of July, at their Lagos office, and my discipline is ECE.
