For all those complaining about shortlisting: Take note that completing the application form is not a yardstick for direct shortlisting. you may beat the security in place by launching unto the application page, the system combines the information you supplied to grant automatic response based on the facts given. E.g your age, year of graduation, discipline, ....., etc. You are shortlisted when you made every requirement set by the recruiter. You can't beat them to it because they will definitely catch you some day. Pls be informed!!

@tumtum et al who's status still says application received....guys my application status read the same for over 3 weeks within which some people's status changed t shortlisted only 2 days after they applied. I remember the same happened to me last year, so I was dedicated to making it through this time around.
within this anxious-waiting period, I discovered that the shorlisting status is system generated actually (I stand to be corrected), there are form query fields in the system database, when your information which the system pulls off your data input and CV match the minimum specified for shortlisting...U win, at least for the first stage.
Your info may meet the minimum requirement for the system but if the system scan does not 'see' and subsequently retrieve these important data...the qualified candidate is not shorlisted...too bad.
Different databases have their specific query form fields and as such you have to 'help' the system and make ur case an easy one, by therefore arranging your info in such a way that the system during it's scan can pick the sought-after data.
I had to pull back my CV from the database and re-formatted it as adviced on the SHELL CV TIPS page after 2 days of doing this my status changed to 'SHORTLISTED', you can also do the same, follow their headings and their format.

@heleex...follow the link below, Login into ur account, click on the APPLICATION MAINTENANCE tab, click on the EDIT PERSONAL DETAILS tab, it'll take you to a pop-up window where u'll see two tabs at the top left hand corner. the first tab says; personal details while the second says UPLOAD CV/RESUME.
Click on the second one, you'll see the browse and upload task panes, upload d new cv, and delete the old one fro their database.

@Ella...Yl editing pls, don't shoot yourself on the foot...never burn your candles from both ends, DON'T WATER DOWN THE IMPORTANT INFO, JUST RE-ORGANISE THEM IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE COMPUTER CAN "SEE" THE RELEVANT DATA.
I had to cut off my 2nd yr, 3rd yr IT left only the fourth, because that can express my capacity wrt the criteria better. re-organised my heading with their exact words(Once beating twice shy...lol)

Pls house, i need some help. My application status reads "regreted". This remark is strange and dont know what it means. However it sounds negative. Does anyone know anything about this? Could there be a way forward? Thanks.
@imunest...as it implies, regretted means that your not qualified...maybe they are not lookin for your course or maybe your CV dint quite match wat they were expecting...sorry for that tho...ave seen many people wit regretted status

After log in, click/select in the following order Application maintenance==>Edit personal details==>next (takes u to the upload page)==>select uploaded cv file in that square box==>delete file. Edit ur saved CV (wherever u have stored it) then reupload. Do this quickly as " under review means ur CV is currently being attended to. Luck.

@all am so happy that we are all shortlisted, now is time to face the test wch may come up probably after election (maybe 1st or second week of next month).
I will advise to all while reading we should focus on numerical reasoning (data interpretation), verbal reasoning (comprehension) where you have true, false and cannot say and the ultimate; spatial/pattern reasoning. if we can master these well enuf before time success is ours. but we must be fast and accurate that day.
