Process Engineer - SA007.
Reports To: Lead Process and Engineering
Manager
Key Roles:
To provide Process Engineering inputs into the
Company’s Facilities, carry out process
engineering activities from Feasibility Studies,
Concept Development through to
commissioning, and will be required to execute a
wide variety of multi-discipline onshore and
offshore oil and gas projects involving new build
wellhead platform, pipelines, onshore crude oil
processing plant and storage tanks
refurbishments. The objective is to carry out all
projects safely, on time and within budget.
Accountabilities:
1. Work closely with other Project team members
to define, examine implications, and propose new
facilities and/or facilities modifications to achieve
project objectives and to adequately process
anticipated oil, water and gas production.
2. Provide process engineering inputs into
Project by reviewing design calculations, reports,
drawings and ensuring relevant standards and
specifications are followed. This will require a
thorough understanding of relevant API
specifications (API 14C, API 520, API 521 etc)
and other international industry specifications/
codes of practice.
3. Perform capacity checks as required by project
with the goal of identifying capacity constraints
and debottlenecking solutions.
4. Provide Process Engineering expertise during
Risk Assessments, HAZOPS, and incident
investigations.
5. Participate in the development of Process
related operating envelopes.
6 Provide guidance to Operations regarding
design requirement and operational changes to
improve asset performance or to reduce HSE
exposure.
7. Support the Process Engineering Lead in
preparing man-hour budgets and schedules and
in monitoring process engineering progress
(budget, schedule).
8. Liaison with vendors and 3rd parties in
professional manner.
Person Profile:
· Minimum of a 2nd Class Honours University
degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
· Approximately 1 to 3 years working experience
in a Process Engineering position.
· Good (verbal & written) communication skills
and the ability to work in a team.
· Conversant with the use of Microsoft Office
Tools, and good working knowledge of Process
Simulation Software – Hysis, Pro II or
Unisim.Accountabilities:

@all: like someone rightly pointed out, i usually take it upon myself to restore some measure of sanity in any little way that i can, in this forum. I remember a couple of months ago, there was a sticky listing the various scam organisations. Well i read them. I don't know how 'sapetro' left the list but i say it there. I have been away from this thread cos i dismissed it immediately. However, please note that if i had gotten clarification, i'd have apologised ASAP. That said, i shall do that in my next post. It is good we av some people like Dennis in the house. This will make the potetial scammers think twice. It will also make some of us learn how to follow our mind regardless of what people say. Even if a placement was a scam, I can still apply as long as the 'idiot' did not ask me to pay money- he might just want to adopt my style of CV writing. All the same, we should always learn from everything. Regards to all!
