@MIB, the point I am making is that I have never heard or seen it before that FCC issues appointment letters for a recruitment they did not conduct. Why was the SON appointment letters issued by FCC and not SON? From what you said it was FCC that called you for collection of appointment letter, it is not suppose to be so. If the issue is taken up, the appointment can be declared null and void by the court because it is unconstitutional.
@ all it leaves more to be desired hearing FCC ursurping the functions of SON.Let us wait and see how it unfolds.
God help usoooooooo Nigeria is turning into something else, Why SON cant display the names of the successful candidates on their website or on their notice board in the their office.

@ simcard, during the interview, most pple didnt take notices of the fact that one of the two pple that interviewed them was either a SON official or an FCC official together with a dragnet official so depending on the official who seconded the dragnet official, u get ur call from them and secondly, am surprised I am the only one speakinng all this forum, probably I was the only one from my state they picked cos FG jobs are based on zoning like one person posted earlier claiming that rivers and bayelsa candidates were picked by the presidents wife!!!!. thats all from me now to this forum cos I think hva said more than enough..
@MIB I was interviewed by only two persons. Whether one of them is FCC or not, I don't know. But its not their function to issue appointment letter on behalf of the recruiting organization. It is not surprising that you are the only person testifying on this forum because most of those invited for the interview were not called. I rest my case.
@Simcard & mib just cool it there is no need to attack or discredit anybody's information here. The info i have is that nobody has been given employment letters as the person in charge is on leave but will soon be back. Also, i can't ignore mib info so let thread it softly. There is no wrong or right in as much as you haven't get a rejection letter. Just keep praying and God will answer us.

@tunmumi many ppl have been given appointment letters, pls dont think otherwise, try and fight better so that you can also be given appointment letter. i was at the SON office to today.
@ver since u visit SON head office often, why not make discrete enquiries from the human resources department at head office so that we can have concrete info on wheather there is a master list of successful candidates or not. @tuwunmi you may be right bcos if they say that officially, no one has gotten appointment letters, it means that those being called now are highly connected, meaning that the official list based on merit may still be released later.
@ ver did u see d master's list of the successful candidates? When precisely are they resuming?
There is a master list, because somebody at the head office help me to check if my name was on list but he said my name was not on the list. From information i got yesterday the Head of human resource has been removed bcos of this recruitment. I was told that with a very strong connection your name can also be included.
A lot of hue and cry about this SON recruitment. Well....the truth is that SON has started calling successful candidates. They're still on it, so if you've not been called, just hope and pray.

How can this thread be alive when SON is not transparent? They called just one person and maybe the rest are getting their employment letters via d back door. My annoyance is 'why make the poor youths to spend the little they have in transportation and accomodation when you know that you wont employ them. Its wickedness in the highest level, but God is not sleeping....

Guys, I have been very skeptical to post on this thread because I was disheartened by the whole process. However, I knew my interview was swell, so yesterday I made some calls to the SON head office and the person picked was reluctant to offer any info. I called a dear friend at Abuja and asked her to go to the office to check it out for me. She just called me to inform me that my name is on the list of successful. I should proceed to Abj ASAP to collect my letter and commence my documentation. Apparently, the people in charge of contacting those successful are overwhelmed and are doing a poor job at it. My advice is that you go check yourself or send someone. Meanwhile, I'm not going until Monday so don't send me oh (at least not just yet). Good luck every one.
