Site Engineers

JOB SUMMARY.
Installation and Maintenance of Civil Infrastructure

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
 Using a range of computer packages for developing detailed designs
 Undertaking complex and repetitive calculations
 Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors, etc
 Compiling job specs and supervising tendering procedures
 Resolving design and development problems
 Managing budgets and project resources
 Scheduling material and equipment purchases and delivery.
 Preparation of BOQ s
 Ensuring projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.

 Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: Design, calculation, cost and equipment selection.

 Prepare proposals and write report

 Ensure compliance with work processes, quality control and ethical codes within the organization.

 Perform other duties as directed by the Management as required



QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
 Minimum of first degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
 Must have up to 2 years relevant experience in a construction and building setting.
 City and Guilds certificate in Civil Engineering is preferred.
 Use of design software (AUTOCAD) is essential
 Marketing and customer service skills
 Ability work as part of a team.
 Good communication and interpersonal skills.
 Attention to detail.
 Aware of general safety requirements.
 Proficiency in the use of MS office tools (word, excel and power point).
