I received an Text msg from saipem requiring me to come for an interview which is slated on 23th of November 2011. i will like those who had done the interview to provide me with useful insights about the expectation of the interview. My discipline is mechanical engineering. i will appreciate your response in this regard to keep up with the spirit of brotherhood in the house.
Why not continue with the previous thread instead of launching another with the same questions that had already been answered in the previous thread.....................
previous threads didnt address the mechanical engineering technical interview so pls get ur facts right. i was also invited 4 d mech interview and i would appreciate any concrete contributions from those that have had theirs especially the mechanical guys. God bless!
Just concentrate on whatever you did as a mechanical engineer in school. There won't be any question outside your field. I did mine under the process Engineering category in Lagos..

Wll u wl b inteviewed by seasoned French/Italian engineers and 1 or 2 blacks for HR. The screening is the same std. for HND/B.Sc Engineer, na who impress them go pick the job
First get to know of hand all d claims in ur Curriculum Vitae.
Then get down to read piping and piping instrumentation
- Valves and operational mode
- Centrifugal and other pumps
- Autocad proficiency might be tested
- Flow of fluids in pipes and underlying principles will be deeply probed
- memorize darcy eqn., weisbatch eqn, Osborne Reynold eqn and how to derive it from 1st priciple
- also, u might sit for another written test b4 the interview, so prepare well
- revise basic defrential equation
- dont bother so much abt ur dressing, u r an engineer not a banker
- avoid negotiating salary, jst accept d pravailing industry std and let them see zest and passion 4d job exuding from u

i hope the guys that have theirs on the 22nd and 23rd would let us know wat went down as soon as they are done cos some of us still got interviews on the 24th and onwards. its about cooperation ohh. no dulling, especially the guy that started this thread
