Hello house, I'm 33 but I read it here dat Shell requires a maximum of 28. Do I hav any hope of being invited for interview at all?

@davesonnshow. When did your friend apply? Very early i guess. Maybe its batch by batch. what was in the mail? was it requesting ur friend to choose a convenient time?

My status still says Application Under Review and i applied on the 13th of May for a technical role...could there be a problem somewhere? Is there anyone with an explanation pls?

yeah apprently the application is back up a removal date is December 31st...what the hell is Shell's plan though! some of us still have our application status as under review and dey are taking more applications...some have done phone interview already and others have been rejected...wats the BIG plan??

Maybe the score range isn't good enough for prospective Shell Employees. Maybe looking for Excellent range, say 90% & above. Maybe CVs collected so far doesn't realy fit what Shell seek. Probably they need more of recent graduates (<1yr ago with good industrial (internship or work) experience, Distinction class of degree (say about 1st class), young age (say <27) Or
Maybe the initial removal or the recent reopening of the said vacancy was an error...
Just finkin alongside... Don't know which to wish to be true...
All the same, Shell application has always been a suspense trip! Application Under Review is a 2 edged sword with Shell...

they must have had a very tough argument in their board meeting which most likely would border on the creditability nd viability of this new process . They probably have gone thru cvs nd found that a lot of good candidates have been screened out by the so-called personality test, lol, jst thinkng....o. Or it's jst a technical hitch on the website to have been reopned. So we apply again?
@ xysmart... So far we'll do only 2 assessments and an interview to qualify for the recruitment day...
On d SRD I bet there'll be more than 3 activities u'll do to qualify u for the final offer.

@XYSmart: Guess those whose status read Pending Interview & those who have already done their interview should be in a better position to inform the house... My status still reads application under review, and that is not a good one with Shell. So, I don't want to play on hopes. Shell knows how well to play with hopes o...
I hope it ends well though.
At the moment, I'm focusing on other opportunities (Chevron, IPS & PTDF) that have greater probabilities. *smiles*

Hi all, I guess that the phone interviews are in batches and I've had mine. About an hour long with questions on team-playing roles and motivation. Don't know what happens next until contact is made.

@MrRyt, face-to-face interview wasn't an option. Mail just gave a link and said to choose suitable date and time of which I had only 2 days to choose from so I guess the invites are in batches.

was fiddling thru my application account, checked my resume/cv manager and clicked 'view submission', then got the message "This resume/CV has not been submitted to any jobs". But 2 other peeps i asked that still have their status as Application under review llike me, actually have the days dey submitted their CVs showing when they click on view submission. Who else is in my shoes? Did we do something wrong whilst feeling the application?
@Lamba: I'm not trying to chatter your hopes, but I believe as well as know that if you're successful in the assessment & selected for CV review, the recruitment team will contact you & advise you to upload a missing file (in your case CV) on or before a given time. That has always been the case. Also, before being shortlisted for assessment, you would have been notified of such missing file.
PS:
Don't bother urself with Shell. You'll be contacted if & when you're meant to be, else you won't.
Many opportunities abound, spread your tentacles & grab one...
@all, experts suggest that individuals shd use landline instead of gsm to receive a call during a phone interview bcos of obvious reasons. my question is, any1 in d house with a NITEL line?. Lol
