@ITguru its quite unusual a situation.. But let me ask, Did you check the status before you wrote the test? Have you applied before, failed and reapplied again? Have you previously applied to any position in shell in the last 12 months? Or perhaps your application was cancelled for one reason or another.. but i will advise you to contact them through their Email addy if you think the fault is theirs...

For those finding it difficult checking their status, it could be as a result of their website down for that moment because i just checked mine now..

@Shakorr thanks for the info.. i applied to IT (first) and HR (second) both under commercial... no wonder my status still reads ''Application under Review" after this long time i wrote the test. But can you further tell why those that applied under commercial still has their status under review?

My status just changed to 'Pending Interview'. I finished my assessment on 18th of May.

If ur xpwriencing troubles logging in. Its probably a system issue or bug in their server. I sent a mail to them concerning the issue. I got a reply nxt day. Confirming the faults and promised to fix it. Howeva I further probed into my text results. She confimed that it was ok. Now I'm more confident.

@shakorr you have failed to answer all †ђξ questions put to you... Kindly tell why †ђξ status of those that applied to commercial functions are still under review? Even those that wrote †ђξ test long before †ђξ technical people wrote theirs is still under review... And ♓☺w come you know about this?

Two weeks after completing my assessment, my status still read under review. Jst wondering if its actually being reviewed with later applicants' status changing sooner after. Well, like they say, hope has a place. Fingers crossed

It's probably a pdf file that is too large.
The site allows a limit of 500kb but then, try to get the file size under 100kb.

@shakorr, Pls how did you probe into your test performance?

i friend of mine wrote the 2nd assessment and failed. for dose dat hv scaled thro' the 2nd stage, what techniques did you use in passing the 2nd stage.thanks

Jst a hint.If ur appying for a tech engineering role ensure you smash the numericals test.those in commercial focus on the problem solving. Pls & pls take ur time to review before answering. However if u messed up in the personality ur likely to get a regret mail. nxt month dates wud be fixed for telephone interview for dose in tech role whereas dose in commercial gets pending interviews hr status

@shakorr, I applied for a technical role and passed the second assessment and up till now, my status still reads under review likewise a friend of mine. but I tried some minutes ago to check it again but got an error message stating the site is under maintenance till 04:00 on 25th May 2013.

I'm yet to do my second online test ooo . Can I still do that even after the closure of the job opening? Plaese help cos I was sent the mail on 24th May to do it within a week which is 31st May.

Brother, the only way you can know this is by going ahead to attempt it. You don't need anyone to tell you if you can. Besides I think the earlier you do it the better, since the deadline for APPLICATION is past. Just saying though, I may be wrong.

The earlier you wrote the test and forget about it, the better! Trust me, the longer you wait, the more the pressure you pile on yourself and the less confident you become. It took me just 10hrs to prepare, write and pass the 2nd test! Am not trying to be proud or anything, am just saying that reading all the SHL materials doesn't guarantee success; it also doesn't mean the person will fail. But trust me, just one or two shl materials is okay. Just to give you an idea of how the test format looks like (which is just pie charts, graphs and bar charts). What matters most in passing this exam is to be really smart, and to have the ability to quickly detect and eliminate the wrong answers. At the end of the day, you might solve a question but can't find your answer in the options; just choose the answer that is much closest to the one you solved! It worked for me and my friends, it can also work for you. Speed and time consciousness also matters!

I wrote my Numericals around 9am yesterday 25th May, got a mail saying they will get back to me but as at my time of typing am yet to get a reply. Still waiting oo.

@obateko ever heard of hierarchy b4? we have the chief shell analyst who did his test 2months ago still waiting for a response while u submitted urs just yesterday and ur complaining.
