Shell Recruitment 2012

Honestly, there is no sense of fairness in this recruitment process. The manner in which SRD invites are being sent out makes it look like they already have in mind people they want to employ even before writing the test. All other recruitment processes that I know, would send out all successful and unsuccessful mails at the same time which reveals fairness; but e be like say Shell dey look face dey send IV. Congrats to every one who have received their IV and best of luck too. For those of us still hoping to receive mails even if they would be blank, let us wait to see what Shell is up to

@honesty, i totally disagree with you. Its very logical wat dey are doing. From my reasoning, dey dont wanna make d same mistake dey did last year by keeping people on imaginary waiting list. They start caln immediately they finish attendn to a particular discipline and its d best from my point of view instead of waitn 4eva.. omo success to my oda SRD peeps

Hello house. Pls are the hard copies of the project we were asked to come along with supposed to be hard copies of the 12 powerpoint slide presentation of our projects?

They asked you to come with hard copies of your project? Take your presentation in a flash drive or better yet go with your laptop. If they need you to present without a projector they can print out your slides for you. Is there something I am missing here?

yes it is the hard copy of your power point presentation. It is possible that there won't be a projector just like when i did last year and not going to the SRD exercise with the documents your clearly asked to come with will be bad idea. There won't be time to look for where to print on that day. It won't cost you too much to print it in coloured for it to look more professional. best of luck.

Please I asked this before and haven't quite gotten a reply. My Srd is on d 15th and I get my nysc certificate on the 18th. Please someone who knows what are my options pls lemme know. I don begin de fear for here o

Simple... go for your SRD den travel to your location on the 16th. Don't know how strict your AI is, but i'm believing that he will allow you to travel. Besides noting usually happens on the POP day except to collect your certificate. two days is more than enough to travel back to your station.. good luck

Ziyaun: A friend of mine has done her SRD without discharge and it was not an issue. Take your NYSC ID card there to prove you are a Batch C corp member passing out 3days after your SRD. They are aware of these things themselves having passed through the scheme.
No give yourself unnecessary hyper.....Success on Monday- wish you God's blessing.

If they asked you to, then by all means. I was not asked to anyways. I know the presentation is supposed to be done by projected powerpoint slides as they put in my invitation letter but I was informed a particular set had to do paper presentation, probably cos there was some fault in the projector or something, I don't think it is the norm to present with printed papers anyway. I really hope I don't have to present from papers - that can't be fun. Good luck bro.

Papers. No projector. Print a copy for yourself and some more for the assessors. OR carry a copy in your flash

Nity47: Only slide. Any other explanation shld be in your head. They wld ask you questions from North, South, East and West of your presentation.

For the case study, can you tell us what type of documents u were given. Cos i know it shud contain letters, emails, memos, minutes, newspapers pages and the likes. Please just give an idea of dis. Thanx

From the airport to shell should not take more than 1 hr, probably less...factor hold-up sha, but you are arriving a day before SRD so that should not be your worry. When is your test date? When are u arriving ph? I would be in ph on Sat, I could ask for you if you wont be going earlier, that is.

@zihuan and chunaf. na wa for una. @all. trust me. nothing really prepares you for this. all these tips u learning hear, most fly outta ya head when you in the hot seat. don't be deceived. this war. some tips sha. know your project in and out. know how to defend it. read your project between the lines. infact hang from nepa pole and read it. If you spied in your undergrad....well...God go with you.





what am tryna say is be afraid....be very!!! afraid. no..scratch that. replace "afraid" with "terrified"...yes..that's much better :D
