Re: Shell Recruitment 2012
@civilouls, send an email to d same address that emailed you d test invite, & request for a change in test date.If that doesn't work, then just go to d test centre as early as possible & attempt writing with d 7a.m batch guys;just make sure u tell d Shell guys present there before doing so,so that ur script will not be 'mistaken' 4 a gatecrasher's during d marking process.

Re: Shell Recruitment 2012
If only SHL would show the breakdown of our scores, it would go a long way to preparing us in the future.

Re: Shell Recruitment 2012
d spatial questions are folding and unfolding of cubes style questions, please do not cut cubes oo, u re gonna waste ur time. manipulate the cubes mentally. The numerical part can b time consuming so work very fast and carefully. i hope this will help others that re yet to write.

Re: Shell Recruitment 2012
pls who is writing in ph on 30th with me.......am trying to see what i can read under the numerical aspect, but it seems its more of calculation on percentage and ration...am i correct? i need your answers from those of us that have written...cheers

If you practice SHL questions, you would know the answer already
and yes, you are correct

Yeah Musco. Just finished now in PH. Phew! Time! Time!! Time!!!
Guys go practice with time o!
Musco pm me ur e-mail and I'll forward all I have to you.

Re: Shell Recruitment 2012
for those that haven't written, just read up as many shl sample questions as u have and understand the pattern for getting the answers especially for the 'false' and 'cannot say'..those 2 can really be confusing. the maths is usually the part that most guys dont finish, so my advise is be fast and leave any1 u dont know and sharply move on...as for the spatial, like the others mentioned - which is true by the way - its basically about the cube folding and unfolding...master the art, and u will finish....
the shl english questions were kinda new ones and not the sample kinds flying around...but one i recalled was kinda similar was one about "sugar and how it isn't linked with coronary diseases..." or something like that!
good luck!

bros abeg oo which part of the test was challenging..was it the numerical aspect or verbal? cos it looks like the test is taking a particular trend and pattern especially were guys complain of no time, what was the timing like? in the whole how many questions were asked?.....could you shade more light on your experience..tnx!
-
There's no cause for alarm mate. The test is standard SHL. I was able to finish the 32 Verbal questions in 18 minutes. Find a trick that works for you and stick with it.
For the numerical, a calculator will be placed on each desk. You'll have to work quickly to at least solve 10 of the 20 questions in 20 minutes. As soon as they tell you there's 2 minutes left, do as your head directs you!
Spatial has 18 questions, 18 minutes.
I've done my bit and handed over to The Almighty to complete the rest. No be by your power o!
Una well done o.
