U cannot kill my hope, i will always make it with or without getting shell job, and maybe one i will buy shell and sell in pieces.
To all my folks in the house thanks for your advise and update, at least it help to ease the stress, i wouldn't have imagine my self in PH and not allowed to take the test. in that case i would have lost my flight fare in addition to this disappointment. If there is any one working in shell reading my thread, try and understand that this is the worse disappointment i have received since my job search begin, and please call the attentions of your boss and those in charge of this local opportunities recruitment to this post and please advise them not to try on of this rubbish ever again, I even called the shell Nigeria phone numbers and couldn't get any useful response when this confusion was looming in the house, that is very unprofessional Well BYE everyone.

@Power44, nobody is happy towards the conducts of shell in this year's local recruitment process, total poor organization and coordination. the whole plan and process is a failure, which they know.
Everything is changing in shell including this present recruitment, its a different pattern they adopted hoping to get it right but its a failure for the first time.
Don't say you can never apply for shell again, its a good place to start a career, and you might be favoured next time, most guys who are fustrated in the pursuit of anything end up controlling that. keep your head high and focus you will make it.
@HOUSE, this is what I knw, the shortlisted guys were much and it was beyond their budget for the process, the first means was to filter guys and invite guys with master+degree and abt 3% of 2.1 graduates, which they did, but got it wrong. people complained even their management, so they have to re-consider and send the second IV to lucky ones with 2.1 and they will be writing 2day and 2moro.
So, if you didn't make it this year next year may be your turn, but my advice to all is, if you know how you can go for your master whether in 9ja or abroad just do it, especially does with 2.2 down, recruitments in nigeria are changing towards that direction mostly for these oil multinationals.

@xcality i know you are hurt but do you know what would have happened to you if you had travelled to write the test or embarked on your seemingly profitable project......everything happens for a reason&God knows you so much that He knows what to do to make you miss a tragedy......i'm not a pastor in fact so far from it but could it be that if you had travelled,that would have been the last journey you would ever make.could it be that an accident would have happened during the course of your project&God knows that the only way He can make you miss it is to make you get shortlisted knowing that you would want to prepare for the test and forget the project.
Friends,i was also shortlisted&have been preparing to the extent that i took ill&was hospitalized for about a week&i'm just recurperating but still i haven't gotten any invite.Let's look on the bright side.i believe God has everything all planned out for our good,He is the one orchestrating our lives.Let's just do our part&trust Him to do the part we can't do.Don't give up,anything can still happen,it's not over till it's over.

Good-evening house...please any new development. Did anyone call Shell lagos to find out? If so what did they say

New batch of invites were sent out last night (18th May) around 11pm for test on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th May in PH.

I gt d mail bt it says tuesday,22nd may bt 22nd may is on sunday and tuesday is 24th may.

Hi house, i just got the invitation letter today. The test is slated for 22nd of may (which falls on a sunday but they wrote Tuesday) at portharcourt. Which day should i pick: tuesday which is 24th or sunday 22nd?
Also, how much are they giving test takers?.......cos i will be going from lagos and i know nobody in PH!................waiting for ur responses. For those yet to be called,there is still hope!!!

They reimburse base on d address on ur cv! If u use ph address, ur money is 500naira only! If u lyk kum frm sokoto,wat they luk at is d address in ur cv!

Sweetheart, didn't you see my post? Some with 2.1 were regretted. Even those that followed the rules of application strictly and attached transcrpits showing CGPA's of over 4.0. I don't know what criteria they used any more o. :o >:(
